Forgive me for not having point values but I haven't seen the finished codex yet. Anyway I've noticed mech spam and gunline lists do extremely well and want to try this with Grey Knights.

Basic strategy is use Grand Strategy to scout my dreadknight and interceptor, possibly the purifiers. The dreadknight and interceptors take care of tanks. Everything else moves and fires lots of psycannons.

Psybolt is no use on that many GK, it would only drain you of your points given that you would only have 24 S5 shots a turn... Woot? Not really, for that many points, it is a waste, and better spent... Somewhere else? Not really sure where, but I think Interceptors wouldn't be a bad choice if you could afford them.

Mattieu~~~~ It's not that eldar are bad, it's that they require a lot of intergration between units. Also, that doesnt prove anything other than GW has a huge hard-on for marines, and, given the option between making a xeno the best psykers or making a marine the best psyker, they will 9 times out of 10 choose the marine.

Doesnt' the Justicar have a Storm Bolter too? If so I think you're math is also a lil off because Storm Bolters are Assault 2 so with Justicars that would make 60 STR 5 shots a turn. I haven't read into Interceptors but I'll def give them a look.

with that list, if you drop the psybolts in the squads, add crowe change as many guys to purifiers, you would get an extra psycannon and devestating anti horde psy ability.

That's why I was seriously thinking about putting Crowe in the army. The only thing is in my area there isn't much in the way of horde armies. But for intentions how much would the difference in points be for purifiers as apposed to normal grey knights?

Your going to lose to DoA list, even though you have a Grand Master that can srew with my REV rolls. The main problem you are relying on the Dreadnought to do most of the work in the shooting phase, the most important phase is the assualt phase which could be a game changer. I would use the DreadKnight and Intercepto with the Grand Master, the Grand Strategy would work great with these unit. If you go first you could be in the face of your opponent before the first turn.

Thanks for the input. What should I take out to make these adjustments? I was thinking about shrinking the strike squads to 5 man units to fit another dread knight in as well.

Mordrak Teleports in 1st turn and gives the dreadknights scout. The Assassins pop high priority targets. The dreadknights crack armor. The purifiers advance with Crowe hiding behind the row of rhinos. I was debating on whether to use the vindicare assassins or rifleman dreads. What do you think?

I like the 1st list from OP but minus the dreadknight and whack in another squad of teleporter marines. Sit the tele's back and in the closing moments of the game, shift them 30 inches onto your opponents objective, contesting it. I just reread that the assassins are unique. Thanks for pointing that out. I could use the points to put in a 5 man intercepor squad with an upgrade or two. As for the ghost knights, as I've read it if you start out with a retinue of them they can get upgrades, the ones that appear as Mordrak takes wounds don't get upgrades. Why else would they have a list of upgrades they can take?

Nevermind that, I'm being silly. You can obviously take the upgrades listed. I was just confusing "no psycannon" with "no upgrades".

Shunting Grey Knight Interceptor
|
The plus side to this set-up is that if NEEDED you can make your own impassable cover by angling your rhinos and making them get slagged or sit their as shooting cover, the downside to this is that IF you sling your men across the battlefield using shunt abilities they can not engage in melee that turn, its the same problem that sticking ragnar in a pack of bloodclaws does, makes WAY to easy a target for all the shooty abilities of your enemies the next turn.
a very interesting thing to possibly do is swap out the grandmaster (of mordrak, depending on which list we are looking to) with a librarian and have him deepstrike and use the summoning on some allies instantly slinging them across the map and allowing them to rush into melee THAT turn.
this removes the possibility of the enemy gunning down your men quite so easily. since then earest enemy group will be locked in combat, and if you can position right this will block LoS by positioning the melee between the librarian and the rest of the enemies. (note that you can summon ANY non vehicle model, this INCLUDES MC's such as the dreadknights)
Without mordraks ghosts you will have enough points to make a 5 man terminator squad to accompany the librarian deep striking giving them more survivability. (or if you skimp on decking out the librarian you could even have paladins)
You could outfit the terminators in one of two ways: tank busting, or general melee
I would suggest tank busting which would have them all wielding daemon hammers (slight modification of normal grey knight daemon hammers sees a good extra hammer or two if you are lacking)
On a side note to this rant I made with the librarian you could also possibly forego the teleporter packs if yo uwish on the dreadknights due to the summoning ability to bring them in on the other side of the field.
I am admittably a smash-mouth melee lover of table top games however and this would allow you to swarm your enemies ASAP with about 4-5 units on the 2-3 turn in a concentrated area.
if this is done right you can decimate your foe and leave a few units behind to defend as needed.
