Could someone please clarify, if a unit of troll is with a hero on the flank out of the generals presence, can the trolls use the hero they are with leadership?

My thoughts are..no

might be wrong but im sure the in the rule book it states that a unit always uses the leadership of the model that has the highest in the unit

Yes you can use the highest ld in the unit, namely the hero.

Keep in mind that we won't be allowed a look out sir roll so careful with cannonballs, also make sure the hero is not on foot or he'll slow the trolls down.

Unless its a Monstrous Infantry size hero, THEN you would get LOS!

If you're using O&G then get eh Hand of Gork spell off on them, and watch your opponent panic as 9+ very cheap, very killy regen vomit trolls appear on their flanks...

Which is why you put a hero with them. BO Boss will do.

Had this done to me, VERY nasty. He's there to stop them panicking and actually let them charge something, and can challenge out a burning blade or similar nasty-to-regen hero.

BO Boss is MI sized?

Edit: NM, it's early and it took me a minute to understand.

Or have chaos trolls with throgg, he fits in better

(But I'm considering using my trolls for O&G, too, so this is a nice idea )
