I was wondering if there are any good tables to buy that can be used for gaming, I can't really find one that is of decent length and width. Anything is fine, I'm just looking for a good large table to add onto (But if you do know of any actual tables Made for gaming, then go ahead and tell me).

Games Workshop makes their Realm of Battle gameboard, which is a really good product. It's very expensive though, and retails at close to $300. It's sturdy as hell and looks good though. I got one because it can be packed up and I can keep it stored when I'm not using it in my cramped apartment.

@Brother SRM: Is it an actual table though? I know it's a game board, but I'm looking for a table that I can add my own details and stuff to. However, that thing looks sweet.

If you could give us a better idea of what you're looking for I might have a few suggestions.

A) How much are you willing to spend?
B) Is this table going to be used exclusively for gaming?
C) If yes to B, do you need it to be portable without a lot of disassembly?
D) Do you have a dedicated gaming space or would your table be placed in a room that is "multi-purpose"?
E) How big do you want it to be? I'm assuming 6x4 (standard 40k table) but do you want it larger?

It's not a stand alone table, no. However, it's super rigid and can hold up on a somwhat smaller surface well as long as the clips are in place and you don't lean on the sides. I have it set up so I can take the pillows and sheets off my bed and set up the Realm of Battle to play on it. It's rigid enough that it doesn't sag or bend anywhere.

I built my own table, the table top looks like urban terrain, and then built my own game boards that fit on it, one grass terrain, one snow terrain. The only downside is that I did not make it collapseable, however I am sure if you spent time designing it you could come up with something.

-Right now price isn't important.
-I'm looking for a table solely for gaming, I will not need any features to make it more portable.
-Wood would be nice.
-8 by 4 maybe?

Well, the Realm of Battle that I've mentioned is ready-made and you can game on it immediately. Not to sound like a shill or anything. If you have the time and space though, making your own gameboard from some hardboard at your local hardware store is a good option. Portability isn't a concern, so you could just nab an 8x4 plank, or a number of 2x2 tiles or what have you.

What are you really looking to do? Big sculpted hills, embedded terrain, or just a blank slate to play on?

But I'm really just looking for a basic wood table that I can add onto. It just needs to be large and shaped like a flat rectangle. Everything else can be added.

My parents bought a bunch of plastic tables from BJ's (sam's club and costco are equivalents). I use two of them side by side, and they work really well as a gaming surface. Just add terrain. You could base right onto the plastic surface no preparation required.

This is them. That price seems really high though. They were more like $40 when we got them. Just a thought

No. Nothing GW makes comes painted, aside from a few barricades that went out of production some time ago.

If all you're looking for is a wooden table, why don't you just get, well, wood? Stick two folding tables together and rest a big 4'x6' board from your local hardware store on it.
