First off apologies if this is the wrong place.

Let me explain.

This is the minature that I'm looking for to replace the one I've misplaced from my Talisman 3rd ed set (note: the sword held overhead has been converted, it should look like the other one). I find one on ebay every now and again but they seem to go for quite high prices (there is one currently for £25). So I'm wondering if the miniature was ever released in a box set like some of the other miniatures that came with the game and thus may be found by rummaging through the random plastics drawers at my FLGS?

For example I definately know the miniature below was released in a box set of ten where all the miniatures were identical. There is also an abundance of them at my FLGS too.

The lower chaos miniature was included in the Warhammer Quest game along with other plastics and I think released in separate boxes for Warhammer Fantasy.

I don't recall the elf and other personality figures getting a separate release, there's one here a bit cheaper than £25.

First mistook her for a metal miniature, but after some google search I found this:

Witch Elf
This is a plastic Witch Elf figure from the FT06 Adventurers pack (also from the Talisman board game). Used as an "Anti-Heroine" in the Advanced MonsterQuest scenario. (August 2001)

The Elf was released in a Wizards boxed set. Had a Druid, Fire Mage, Necromancer, etc all in there alongside of her and an Elf Mage too.

No, that would be her, looking similar but not identical:

She was in one of the boxes, though, as I got her from one of the boxes(she's since lost the Khaine/Khorne rune). Can't remember which one, maybe the one with the Barbarian and Slayer.

Ah that's right. I had the box when I first got into painting.

Wonder if I still have any of the models...

Thanks for the responses everyone.

So she did come in a box set but was only a single miniature in it rather than a multiple?
Reckon I'm better off grabbing a cheap similar looking metal miniature to tide me over until I can find a plastic one for a decent price.

Both of the above images are mine. These were models from the 2nd edition Talisman game, and as indicated above, the witch's sword is a weapon swap resulting from damage to the original.

The witch was only a single model in one of the Talisman expansion sets, although which set she was in I'm not sure as I purchased the Talisman, Forest, Mountian, Dungeon, and City sets.

The model is a token representing a player's character for the board game, much like the shoe, car, thimble, and dog for Monopoly and thus there were only a single model representing each character in a set.

I wish you luck finding your replacement and if you happen to come across the Dragon's Tower set at a reasonable price, please let me know. I'm still trying to complete my collection!

Hi Gavin,

Hope you don't mind me using your pictures, they were the only ones I could link to while at work.

Dragon's Tower is the only set I need too, still don't know why I didn't buy it when it came out.

Ha! I was right!

It was in the Adventurers Box with the Barbarian, Slayer, Dwarf Warrior, Wizard, Wood Elf, Thief, and Halfling,

Shows more of the boxes available at that time, too.

Still, would be cheaper and easier to get the superior metal versions.

No worries! Imagine my suprise when I opened the thread and saw my own models staring back at me from someone else's post...

I had the Dragon's Tower in my pull at the local comic shop circa 95. My friend was the manager of the store (it was a small chain of 5-6 stores in town) and I'd hang out with him during his shift. He drove us up to the shop for his shift to discover that the store had a big "Closing Sale" sign on the front. All the pull boxes were sitting out and everything was up for grabs. Apparently, the chain's owner was bankrupt and was trying to squeeze every penny back to break even. Unfortunately, someone had pilfered my box and Dragon's Tower was gone.

Been looking for one ever since that didn't cost $50+...

OMG! That was the first box of minis I ever purchased (at a WotC store no less ). I had to sneak them past my parents and hid them in a shoebox to go with my Batman role-playing game (converted to a midievil fantasy setting). I've been wondering what it was for years. I might have to try and find it again for old times' sake

Aly Morrison redid that Dark Elf Witch Elf in the 4th/45th edition Fantasy Era Dark Elf army.

8 or 10 different poses from what I remember. Think they still show up on eBay etc.
