Power-Hungry Cultist of Tzeentch

Iceland of doom

I'm not even sure if this is the right board to put this, so mods, feel free to move it. Anyway:

I'm setting afoot a Chaos army. I'm going to have a solid and fluffy background before I think about the battle effectiveness. I do love stories.

But I haven't researched the world of WH40K more than reading a few Tyranid and Chaos Space Marines codexes, three HH books and the rulebook itself.

So my question is; is this viable army fluff for the WH40K universe?

A Librarian of the Blood Ravens, Gnaritus Emaniel falls to Tzeentch for promises of knowledge and power, thus becoming a Chaos Sorcerer.
He escapes from persecution by joining a decimated pirate fleet that is fleeing from the Blood Ravens, who seek to destroy them, mostly comprised of Chaos cultists.
Seeing that he is a Chaos Sorcerer an the others are merely human, he takes command of the fleet and sets out to find other renegade Space Marines to turn fully to Chaos, or Space Marines already fallen to Chaos.

He comes across the ship of a group of explorers intent on finding all the artefacts they can and study them, so as to protect themselves from the enemies of the Emperor. They claim they have found nothing of worth when Gnaritus asks(while torturing) them, but upon murdering them and searching their ship, they find a heretical book, seemingly empty to all but followers of Tzeentch. It taught some powerful spells, most of which were far beyond Gnaritus's reach, but a few he could manage. Thus he became more powerful.

A few years later he comes across a renegade group of 30 Flesh Eaters. They had already started down the road of Chaos, killing anyone who defied them in the least and stealing from those they came across, but when Gnaritus established contact, they hesitated. They told him they were reluctant to go so completely against the Emperor as to follow a Chaos God, even if they no longer followed the Emperor. He managed to convince them with promises of power and protection from the eyes of the Corpse-God's lackeys. 6 of them were against turning so completely, but they were slain, leaving the pirate fleet at 103 strong.

This is as far as I've written, I'm reluctant to write more before I'm certain that it even makes sense.

Post your thoughts.

That's how most Renegade Marine Pirate bands seem to start out.

Have you played DoW2: Chaos Rising yet? If not, you should.

Spoiler:
The end has the Chapter Master of the Blood Ravens and several other Ravens(including your force, potentially) going to Chaos.

York/London(for weekends) oh for the glory of the british rail industry

I would have thought the Flesh Eaters would turn to khrone if they went to chaos and khrone followers don't get on with tzeentch followers.

Relictors: 1500pts

its safe to say that relictors are the greatest army a man , nay human can own.

This thread has been reported to see if this is the proper location.

I'm going to keep it here. Normally we put these in the fiction area but as its asking fluff linked to actual background its a nice thought question so lets leave it here.

Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Well, it all depends on how they come to Chaos, dunnit?

But I don't know, I figured that, but they wouldn't really dislike Tzeentch followers in that Chaos god x vs. Chaos god y way until they actually started worshipping Khorne.
