A while ago I had an idea to start a traitor guard army that would use the Wargames Factory Greatcoat Guard. Shortly after I began I found that the heads looked awesome on Bretonian Men at Arms bodies and the guns (with some knife work) fit perfectly.

My armies theme is going to be a group of traitors lead by a Dark Apostle of the Word Bearers (counts as Straken). Being the crafty followers of chaos that the Word Bearers are they have converted several Arbites Enforcers to their cause, and those Arbites were then sent to numerous small feral planets to recruit soldiers with promises of riches and glory. As such most of the traitors will be simple mercenaries following the orders of their Chaos devoted masters/benefactors. However during the course of campaigns some of the mercenaries inevitably will be drawn to the sway of chaos, and begin to devote themselves to the dark gods. Worship born on the battlefield tends to be more towards Khorne, so the worshippers of Khorne in my army will be more heavily featured and prominent. However I do plan on making a unit of followers of Slaanesh (lots of bondage), and use Primaris Psykers as those drawn to Tzeentch. Nurgle tends to be too extreme for most, and so I will not have any followers of Nurgle present as the army would rapidly decay to nothing were Father Nurgle to so bless them.

Here are the beginings of what I have made so far.

Basic Traitors

Plasmagunners

First Devotee of Khorne

This is just the first of my groups...

Automatically Appended Next Post:
After having completed some of my basic troopers (13 plus 2 plasmagunners) I now have my more converted and some of my favorite guys that I have built so far. These are the mercenaries that have further devoted themselves to the gods, mostly Khorne at this point, and some Undivided

Worshippers of Khorne

Worshippers of Undivided

Mutated Traitors

Another group down and one more to go...

Automatically Appended Next Post:
My last group of guys I have finished so far are my chaos Arbites.

Here they are...

Chaos Arbites

Platoon Commander

Some of the Chaos Enforcers need some sprucing up, but that shouldn't be too hard considering all the little totem bits I have lying around.

I liek what you've done, and I'm happy to see you using the Renegade codex. Hopefully WGF will release their heavy weapons in the year and you can add some serious firepower to your teams,

Actually I am not using the Forge World codex, but merely an IG counts as. The Forge World codex is nice, but the Ld is killer for the army, and I can't do what I want with the list, ie. using Straken (Undead Dark Apostle) as a furious charge bubble for massed infantry charges.

@Lonecoon: I am hopeful about the Wargames factory Greatcoat Guard heavy weapons but they will not be featured in the army, except possibly on the Chimeras I will be building for the heavy bolters.

@JunkyOrk: the sledge guy is my favorite too. He was the first guy that I did a lot of work on and has inspired most of the other non-basic troopers designs.

Hopefully I will have more troopers done shortly, including a few more mutants for the army as well as Chaos Arbites

Where did you get that epic revolver? It makes the guy look like a BAMF.

I really like your models and the greenstuff work that you've done looks good but doesn't overpower the models themselves.

Okay, I've been on a bit of a hiatus 2011-14

Very cool, I also wanna know where you got that revolver.

Sihamoni takes great pride in the league he helped create, as was conveyed in his recent advertising campaign for the CMFL that stated his midgets will "... take on anything; man, beast, or machine."

@ cosmic pixie: Thanks for the kind words. I haven't done too much greenstuff work so far in my gaming career, so right now I'm practicing up so that I may finally get some of my more complex ideas made the way I want

@Dredknight2: The helmets are from the Wargames Factory Greatcoat Guard, but without the horns. After building all my Chaos Arbites they looked a little dumb (without horns) so I added some to the revolver guy first, and it looked great so I followed up by doing likewise to the rest of the crew.

For everyone: The revolver is from the old Necromunda Weapons Pack, it came with a bunch of lasgun and autogun styles, as well as the other two pewter guns my Chaos Arbites have, and two revolvers, the one ya'll asked about, and another that is HUGE, like the size of a bolt pistol. Sometimes EBay auctions show up for that Weapon Pack, but be warned I'm usually hunting for it so you'd have to fight me for it (hahahaha malevolent laughter).

Exceedingly nice conversion work there. A good strong theme with interesting variations. Looking forward to seeing more!
