Random question concerning the walls of ruins.
Can a model, lets say a leman russ or a trygon move through the wall of a ruin?
I guy that was playing near me said something along those lines was in the rulebook, and that they just "smash through" or something.
Is this true?

Is wall of Ruin a special skill? If so, I don't know much, but for terrain walls...
Walls=impassable terrain, so MC and vehicles are required to go around unless they have a special rule that allows them to move over terrain.
Regarding the smashing of poor, crumbling ruin walls, I don't think any model/unit has the power to destroy terrain. MC do have move through terrain/cover rule though.

It depends on how you decide to play them. You can treat them as any other area terrain (in which case moving through the walls is fine, just as you can move through individual trees in a forest bae) or you can require models to use actual modelled doors and breaches.

See page 83: Walls, Doors, Ladders and Lateral Thinking.

Ruins are considered area terrain, so any vehicle can drive through them. If you have singular walls on the table, you should decide if they are difficult or impassible before the game, though anything but 5" tall reinforced concrete walls should be difficult.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

A tank/MC can easily smash its way thru building walls, but would require a difficult and dangerous terrain test
(imagine if it were RL, you could drive a tank thru a wall, but it wouldn't be 'safe')

Somewhere in south-central England.

Ruins are area terrain so any models can enter.

The decision about making them difficult or impassable should be made during the game set up period.

If you want to make rules that models can only enter through windows and doors, I think that's fine. You might want to elaborate on things, to allow tanks and MCs to smash through the wall and incur a difficult terrain test.

All these things are good ideas for friendly games.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
