So I opened up my grey knight strike squad very happy. Then I frowned because I cannot see how to magnetize them. I want to have different load outs but no magnet seems like it can fit. That may not make sense so to sum up, how do you magnetize the the hands/arms.

I don't have any Grey Knights.
I assume the hands are too narrow for the usual disc magnets?
You could try rod magnets, or stacks of small discs.
These guys offer 1mm x 1mm discs, 2mm x 8mm rods, 3mm x 4mm rods.

Don't forget you don't have to match the shape of the magnets on both sides of the divide. You could put a rod in the arm and a couple of small discs in the hand.

Yeah, they're Space Marines so you aren't dealing with the skinniest wrists ever... but you're not in for an easy job unless you can find some tiny magnets. Fortunately all the weapon 'arms' are actually hands, so you don't have to chop anything up or require an extra shoulderpad for each option.

You could always pin the hand joints? A tight fit is just as good IMO, I've used it on a SM commander instead of the magnets.

not sure how to pin models. So you are saying get rod magnets, how big should they be?

That would be very hard to do. All I can say is good luck, and I hope you get a really customizable army.

I honestly don't see the point in magnetizing them. Yeah it will give you very flexible models and yeah the models are expensive (plastic PAGK's being almost twice as expensive as a plastic marine).
You will never need a lot of GK modelsthough. You can make an entire GK army for less than $100 with three boxes of troops and it will almost be effective. I would save yourself the hassle of magnets and converting and just buy the one more box of models you might need to have that extra flexibility.

Pinning is simple. You drill a hole into the arms/weapons/whatever and glue in a short length of metal rod into one of the bits. The friction of the rod in the remaining hole is usually enough to keep a light weapon in place and is ideal for playing with plastics. Its a lot cheaper than magnets, but is a bit more fiddly to put together.

It'd be difficult. Small magnets are your only hope. Make sure you get the strongest grade commercially available. Otherwise there won't be enough surface area for a strong hold, and the hand will spin around all over the place.
So, your answer is small magnets, and care when drilling.

These are 3mm x 1mm N40 grade magnets, I use them for arm joints on Terminators and Power armour marines alike
He use to sell 2mm x 1mm as well These are good for wrist joints.
Have magnetized all my Grey knights including Storm Ravens, Dreadnoughts and Dreadknights

Yeah, this.
At least you don't need an extra shoulder pad for every single option

You may want to check out the Manufactorum http://themanufactorum.com Ignore that pic on the home page with the giant wrist magnets, there are teeny magnets in the kits/instructions.
He even sells several drill bits.
Surely the GK wrists can't be much smaller than assault marines... http://themanufactorum.com/kits/marines/assault/assembly.htm

They are the same as assault marines, I also have another question is it possble to use the magnets with out drilling the model, just thinking cause then I would need another drill, the other one broke

You might get away with it.
The magnetic 'grab' strength just might be weaker than the glue strength, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I tried putting the magnets inside the body of the marine, for arm attachments. I think it is working quite well I need to pick up another drill to get the arms, any tips for the arms?
