Been a while since i posted here but I want to get your comments on a new model that I painted up. Let me know.

Looks great! I like the effect on the power weapon/axe. The parchment looks cool too.

Well done! My only comment is the red looks as it could use ether a wash, baal red or such. Or a bit heaver highlighting.

Other than that well done!

Like your highlights but a wash would help to blend them so it looks better. The power weapon effect is very nice!

I washed the red before, but I should rewash the armor again? I don't really want to darken it any more than it already is and I'm worried that a baal red wash will do that.

I think its fine as it is. The Axe looks awesome. The main thing is, are you happy with the armour?

Nice work there! I love that red, pretty much the whole model is ace. Good work!

I am happy with it, its one of the better models I have ever painted. With that said there are a lot of better painters in the world out there and as I want to get better, I'll take all the advice I can get.

In other news, what do you think about basing this model? I am at a loss.

I how did you paint it?

parchement is pretty easy:

1) Dheneb stone foundation is first. water it down and paint it on there. All this step is for is a light coat for the graveyard earth so if you basecoat white you can paint some similar color

2) water down graveyard earth and paint it on, this should be inside the recesses and you should be able to see the dheneb stone beneath. 1 or 2 coats should be all you need.

3) drybrush bleach bone, go light on your coats, keep adding until you like what you finish with.

and thats how i did it. Keep it simple. Keep it safe.

i wouldn't wash red with red, use orgryn flesh or devlin mud!

Love the parchment, always makes me happy when I see a BA HQ.
