Hi guys, finally finished off this project, took me a long time on and off, and I'm reasonably happy with the results, my first attempt at heavily weathering a tank, they usually look like they've just pulled out of the imperial showroom when I paint them!

Hope you enjoy, I welcome any constructive feedback as I always look to improve my painting. Thanks.

Cheers!

Great looking Rhino/Razor!

Was this done with weathering powder? What was the technique??

Well the mud was actually an attempt by myself, I mixed sand, static grass, pva glue, small grain grit and bestial brown paint together and slapped it on, then drybrushed it with vermin brown. Pretty happy with it.

The rest of the muck was sponged/drybrushed on, and the vents were given a few layers of badab black wash spattered on with a big brush.

No, I held my breath and did a letter at a time with a fine detail brush and watered down black! it was pretty nerve-wracking let me tell you.

very nice, I love when realistic weathering techniques are employed on 40k stuff.

Thanks for the comments guys, I'm actually looking at selling this piece as it's part of a BA force I abandoned half way through, but it annoys me having half painted models lying around so I had to finish it!
