So looking over the codex some more I saw those monkeys. LOL So the Inconceivable Customization the wording is a little strange it says "When an Inquisitorial Henchmen warband containing one or more Jokaero is deployed, roll a d6 for the following chart. Each time you roll add +1 to the result for each Jokaero in the unit beyond the first."
Now a few problems, does each Jokareo you take get a roll? This is whatit looks at I.E. You get a roll for each Jokaero you have.
Next Question: If you have 6 Jokaeros do you always keep rolling 6 I.E. roll on the chart, you would always get a 6. Then you get two more rolls which because of the +1 (per Jokaero) and get a 6 again. Do you keep getting a six OR does the bonus only work for the first roll?
Also does all the weapons stack I.E. you could get 48" multi meltas??
And....How does multi melta + rending work?

From whats been written on dakka recently, same effects dont stack (unsure on differents)

With 6 monkeys you would roll for each, but could only ever have a 6 as a result.

Ignored armour anyway, so no issue there.
Any 6's to pen allow a further D3 i guess.
So in theory you could get: 8 + 6 + 6 + D3 + D3 assuming you roll 2 6's.

Hey also with the bonus to your save do the Jokaeros -save improve to 6+

You only roll once for each unit, not for each Jokearo.

Agreeing with Jackal.

There is nothing to indicate that you would roll once for each Jokaero. Does the the warband contain one or more Jokearo? Yes? Then roll on this chart. Nothing in there about for every Jokaero.

Yeah, with 6 Jokareo by RAW you'll spend forever rolling because every single roll generates another two rolls.

The only one that has a RAW argument for stacking is the range. Unfortunately the wording is just: have their maximum range increased by 12. If it said "have their normal maximum range" it clearly wouldn't stack. As it is, you know you're being TFG if you want it to stack, but you have an argument. Because your maximum range gets increased the first time. So your new maximum range is x + 12". Then you increase your maximum range again.

Rolling 6 to wound makes the melta AP2 instead of AP1, but I'm drawing a blank as to whether that will ever actually have an impacr. You don't roll to wound against vehicles, so rending can't make melta AP2 instead of AP1. So just an extra D3 penetration for ever 6 you roll.

And to necronsftw, I would guess that if you don't have an armor save you cant improve your non-existent armor save by one.

And "Each time you roll" is because if you roll a 6 you get to roll twice.

This is what it looks like when you have multiple Jokaero in a unit.


With 2d6 armor penetration you get an Extra D3 for Every 6 that you roll. It is in the BRB FAQ

No, that is there as you can have more than one unit of Henchmen, and thus have Jokaero present in more than 1 unit.

Also does Aegis stack? Say you are hitting a unit with an IC with Aegis would it be -2, I was thinking this would mostly work for JOTWW

It would only be -1 necronsftw. If you have 2 Aegis in a unit, then it is still a unit with Aegis, so they'd suffer what the effects say.

Jokaero has been cleared up, but just to add another voice to it: the text says "one or more". If the unit meets that requirement, roll a D6.

As for Meltas and rending, keep in mind that 8 + 6 (first d6) + 1 (lowest roll on the second D6) = 15, so you've already penetrated everything and don't even need the rending. Rending gets its power from Warrior Storm Bolters and Heavy Bolter Servitors.

Except for those times when you're outside of half range and only get a single D6. Then, rending matters a ton if you're against AV14.

I had assumed by his question that he was asking about shots in "melta range", as the question "How does rending work with a S8 weapon with a single D6 for penetration?" is pretty easy to answer.

EDIT: Although, it does make the Lascannon on the Jokaero less impressive, as you'd have the same chance at penetrating at the 12"-24" range, and would get the benefit of AP 1 as well.
