What size magnets do you recommend for various 40k projects? I'm hoping to magnetize some Land Raider sponsons coming up, as well as other projects. The last time I put in an order from KJ magnetics I ordered 1/16th IN and discovered that they were really too small to do anything. I'm looking through their surplus magnets and finding 3mm and 6mm magnets (1.5mm thick) that seem to be a good deal. Would these be a good size?

Also, any tips or thoughts for magnetizing models?

I've been using 1/8" magnets... small enough for attaching arms on to terminators / space marines.

After the orbital strikes, Thunderhawk bombardments, Whirlwinds, Vindicators, fusion and starfire and finally Battle Brothers with flamers had finished cleansing the world of all the enemies of Man, we built a monastery in the center of the largest, most radioactive impact crater. We named the planet "Tranquility", for it was very quiet now.

I une 4mm round ones for my dreads (one on the arm, one on the body) & they work great.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

I use 3x3x0.5mm thick square magnets for most of my stuff. Thin enough to surface mount without really noticing them.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
