Subject: Space Marine multilasers?

I'm wondering how to give marines multilasers on an army scale for my custom chapter, The Purgators.
Fluff will be forthcoming, but only if it's a viable conversion.
I'd prefer not to use shoulder-mounted lasers.
The chapter will also have multilaser termies and eviscerator assault marines, will be green, and be led by a Chuck Norris-style chapter master named Halestan.
Cheers for any help!

To be clear are you asking how you could model such? Thats not difficult.
1. (if have bank) buy a bunch of:
-multilasers off of guard weapon sprues from chimeras/sentinels or via a bits service.
-scatter laser from the eldar weapon sprue (cheapest and easiest)
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440245a&prodId=prod1290046
2. scratch build your own with tubing from a hobby store.
Edit: If you're gaming these can be stand in Hbolters or assault cannon for gaming outside of friends. Just watch out for people screaming MULTILAZERS!

How would they grip them is my main question.

First off... assault cannons are pretty much ap4 multilasers. Secondly, are your space marines close to the blood ravens? Do they often fight necrons?? ... I'm sorry, couldn't resist ...

Whats your budget? You could easily convert marine heavy weapons - cut off the weapon and add on the ML. Alternatively you can take a lascannon one and put some more barrels on it.
its been awhile. Are marine HWeapons guys still metal? If not then this would be easy to do.

HW marines are plastic now.
No, they are completely dissimilar to the Ravens. Their homeworld was attacked by tyranids when they were a regular codex chapter. The Codex astartes could not help them, and they were almost defeated, when a Devastator Sergeant of the 4th company named Halestan inspired the squads around him to cast off the prescriptive shackles of the codex and fight with whatever weapons they could. The chapter saw the effectiveness of the multilasers taken from chimeras and adopted Halestan's doctrines. They now detest the ultramarines and all of their successors, with the exeption of the Mentors, and many believe them to be a Salamanders successor chapter. Unusually, any psykers in the ranks of their chapter or from their homeworld are removed from their positions and entombed in one of the Chapter's own titans. Regulum Mortis, Halestan's Victory, and Storm of Purgation are all mighty constructs shielded with the souls of thousands of psykers, and firing huge torrents of flame and lightning from their titanic hands. So mighty are these warlord-sized titans, that they are capable of warp travel and flight without aid, all due to the powerful psykers giving their lives to the Emperor.

TITANSSS...IN....SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCE!
Cool each to their own fluff I say.
To the point, then it should be much easier. I'd give it a test run in that context. The only thing to definitely note, you can't have MLs represnting both HB's and A cannons igf you're using codex rules (too confusing). however if this is a homebrew chapter and you're just using MLs for actual MLs (and ML stats) then go to town.

Thanks.
My problem is still grip. Obviously I can't just glue a multi-laser to the barrel of a boltgun, but the only way i can think of is puttting multilaser barrels on terminator heavy flamers.

As for holding them, underslung could work on termis but be too much for a PA marine. The other way would be to do across the body similar to heavy bolters and how dark reapers hold their weapons.
Using them as count as Heavy bolters on PA and count as assault cannons on termis should work when you have to play with the non-custom rules

Devastators can't take assault cannons anyway. Automatically Appended Next Post: I only game once a week with friends so custom rules should be fine. I've written a couple of rules before (white lion cavalry, Grey Knights, shooty scarabs, anti-air predators) so i've had practice.

So are you good to go then?
Further on the termies you can tweak even less. just cut a small cap and glue it on the assault cannon termie. Voila! instant ML!

Look at the grey knight models with the heavy weapons (psycannon, etc). Base it from the same principle. Chaos marine heavy bolter has the same style grip. It will be heavy on the converting, but using the bolter-grip arms, and simply creating a weapon that is under the grips..... easy principle and working the idea out, just time-consuming to make the mods. Expanded back-pack and wire feed, etc.

Actually, that's the tactical-equivelant squads sorted now.
I can only arm 1 in 5 termies with multilasers though, you only get one ac in the set. any more ideas?

If you need mroe multi-lasers, Im loath to do it, but I can get you some sentinel multi-lasers. PM me if interested.
Another option could be modifying a las-cannon. get 4 rods and swap out the middle barrell..... actually, using different guages of platic rods you could do many of these

I'm going to add nine sentinels to my guard army and use the lascannons and multilasers from there, using that lascannon idea you had.
