Seconded. You should have 90+ boyz before adding anything else. Plus, I think that you can only purchase a trukk for a unit of Boys if there are 12 or less.

Ok for starters Trukks can only hold 12 boyz. Drop both of them. Drop the Shoota boyz close combat is where the excel. The big mek is a good Idea. Ghaz is over-used but good for any beginner.
Drop the Buzzsaw's can't hurt much and will give you 75P too spend. I would suggest since you have the models too give them bigbomm's.
And thick skulls your the one that can't even read a codex properly.

Wow, you make a lot of friends online huh? But hey I guess you're the guy with unpainted army that consists of green army men and matching tanks, with an army list you found online somewhere and cannot properly use. So, with this said, you should really ease up. I would like to point out that you would take a big bomb over a buzz saw?? Haha really? Sorry I really cannot get over you saying that Ghaz is over-used, but big meks with KFF aren't?
Done ranting. Bottom line is the guy has 2k points of orks to play with, yeah it may not be the optimum list. But those things are in the codex for a reason, if they were not meant to play with it would be a short list of items to take in your army. I say you should play with what makes the game fun(making sure to abide by rules of course).

Also I paint my army's and do it well. Also he asked my opinion I gave it.
Bigbomm. Drop them in scout move stops other Horde armies from having more than you....

Ditch the 'eavy armor on your Nobs in the boyz mobs, your boys are there to soak up the wounds, not him. Get rid of the boss poles in your mobs, as 30 boys give you fearless till down to 12. Also ditch it in your war bike squad, as they appear to be a suicide klaw unit to destroy armor. If you lose one, why shoot the other to still run away? Your actually better off in solo units... 3 squads of 1 Deffkopta, but you lose your bikes... so up to you. If you want to keep the bike squad, go one mob of 3 and two 1 man 'mob' of 1 Koppter. I have had alot of success with a 6 man meganob mob in a trukk, but if you don't do meganobz, take that nob mob (counting painboy) and run them up with that trukk to sit on an objective (since they now score thanks to Ghazghkull) or get close to a vehicle to pop it with rokkits or even melee it. I suggest a boarding ramp for ease of assulting vehicles, as now you don't count as leaving the trukk.
Tankbusters don't get a truck, so you can't start them in a truck. By rule they must move toward the nearest armor (slowly). Because of this alot of people don't use them because they are worse than Death Company in this reguard (at least DC get a vehicle). That means one trukk for your nobs but you can't fit any other units in the other since it only holds 12 troops. If your running Kommandos, run Snikrot, then attach Ghazghkull to the unit and run rampant in his back via Snikrot's Ambush ability. They can't be in a trukk either so you should either get rid of it or make a 12 man boyz mob to run toward a objective. Put /those/ guys in 'eavy armor with a nob with a PK. Ditch the stickbombs. Ditch the 'eavy armor on the 30 man mob, put more boyz in that 13 man squad.
If your running a Mek, look long and hard at running Dreads, (Kans or Deff) because they count as troops now, as this means you can take more and free up heavy slots. To be honest, those heavys could be Flash Gitz, Big Gunz, Looted wagons, more battle wagons, etc... Sit that Big Mek with the KFF on a big mob of Lootas or Flash Gitz to cover your boyz as they go in.

That is the most laughable thing said in the history of this thread. Stick Ghaz in with some meganobz and shove them in a battlewagon.
Then have some Kommandoes Tankbusta's loads of boyz and mabye a Deff dread or some kanz.

As Ghaz is now part of the unit and Snikrot as an upgrade that gives the unit Ambush. I dunno, popping on any table edge with Ghaz is pretty nice, including the middle of his deployment zone.
I dunno... I am re-reading the rules (pg48). THe tricky thing is it gives the Stubborn as an example of a unit special rule given by one effecting both. Snikrot's Ambush ability just says unit. To play it safe, say you can't and just attach Ghaz to the Nobz. He can still fit on the trukk (taking up two spots) with the 8 Nobz... though wouldn't the Painboy give him FNP? Isn't that the same as the Ambush ability? Isn't that the same as having a Sang priest with Dante?
*shrugs* I dunno, guess that is the choice of the GM or the players involved on how to rule on it.

If you put him with the Kommadoes they don't gain the rule.
Ghaz doesn't have Infilitrate so can't join them and Infiltrate it's lke some random bloke being shoved into the marines. Just because he's put there doesn't mean he can do what marines can.
So kommadoes would end up footslogging. So as I said before that's the most laughable idea in this thread.

Varon - You comment about big bomms being better than saws was situational really.
I see far more saws on them in tournaments simply for the Astrike attempt on a transport or armour at the back (vindi, whirl etc)
However, i do love the bomms.
Had alot of luck 1st turn dropping them into packed units.
And yes, Ghaz with kommando's is kinda fethed up.
From what ive seen and IMO, they lose any benefits they gain by having him with them.
Also slows them down too much for such a small unit.
Take them both by all means, but as 1 unit?
Pointless.
The best way to get a klaw in a unit of kommies is to drop snik for a normal klaw nob, but you then lose the reliability.
Vrons 1st comment was also dead to the point.
43 boyz will get you nowhere with orks.
1-2 turns of shooting (even in transports) and they will be dead, and you would have lost.
You want to be aiming close to the 100 mark for 2k.
Something like:
Mek - KFF
Ghaz
7 Nobz - 3 klaws, 3 BC's, painboy and all throw-away gear to bounce wounds.
Wagon with Droller.
29 Sl-boyz
30 Sl-boyz
30 Sl-boyz
3 Wagonz for the boyz, all with Drollerz.
Mek goes with the 29 and runs central giving saves to all wagons.
Use that as a base idea to work from.
Now, single koptas with a saw make nice Astrike units for transports, but in KP games your pretty much pissing in the wind, so ill leave that one for you to decide on.

Depends if your running in a tournament mate.
Alot of the south coast tournies run locked rosters, so you cant change them for any reason.
Also, even 3 in a unit is pointless.
1 dead = 25% losses.
2 dead = 50% losses.
as soon as they get shot they are off.
Also, against meched up armies you cant pop transports with them, so its no real use.
Pod and reserve armies will leave you in the cold.
Daemons will do the same.
Just no real viable use for the big bomm, as much as i love them.
Did however run 3 full units all with bomms at a RTT for a laugh.
When i got told i had guard as my 1st player i just smirked.

Like i said, it really is situational. I no longer play orks, but it was fun while it lasted. One of my worsed games was also in the same tournie, and that was mech BA. Big bomms had to sit back until i could pop a rhino, and even then, it was pretty much overkill on the unit that came out of it. Edit: Tom - Its lost when ghaz joins the unit mate.

Doesn't really bother me, as I don't used Ghaz, so I really don't care personally. I run my nameless warboss on a bike by himself. I just wanted to hear your opinion on it. Since this kid runs him, he will probably want to know.

Dont get me wrong, as a character, Ghaz is solid and can bring down anything.
However, his speed limits him far too much at time.
Then why try and argue a point if you dont have one or dont want to state any reasoning?
I swapped and changed alot when playing orks, but ghaz was usually in a few of my lists.
Wazdakka and a bikeboss mainly ran it though simply for nob biker cheese.

Well, personally, if I was to use Ghaz then to his best effect I would run him with 5 meganobz in a trukk with boardin planks.
But since he didn't list meganobs, I was trying to offer him advice for alternate units to combine him with.

TBH, if it hits, then it hits hard, but i prefer to run him with normal nobz.
7 nobz.
painboy, 3 klaw, 3 choppa, all extra junk for wound playing.
throw them in a wagon with roller, RPJ and 2 big shootas.
atleast that way the unit survives long enough to fight, and when it does, the normal nobz can thin the unit out so losses are alot less.

I prefer Meganobz and a super-up battlewagon. It's really hard hitting and put in another mob with a Mek with KFF in a Battlewagon. That hits and hits hard.
