Thanks. No worries, glad you like him since I painted it so long ago ... I was a little concerned with the packaging, I really could not find the sellotape. But hey the ductape did the job...just looked well dodgy! I'm not sure about the protocol of posting pics and background in here? Can we or are you going put them all up at the end?

Never thought painting a single marine would give me so many problems and take so long, lol! It was fun though, glad you are doing this just so I could paint something I'll never do an army of.

I have my Liby and i need to pack him into a safe thingy. It will be a mage knight mini box!

Well in that case... I was going to pant up a Tear Bringer for the Conclave but due to time and eye problems I couldn't. So I decided to send in a model I painted about 7 to 10 years ago becasue it is for a good cause. So with out further ado....oh and forgive my attempts at literature....



The Denouncers

The Denouncers Chapter were created as part of the 26th founding, supposedly from Dark Angels geneseed. If this is true and uncommonly, for a Chapter with ties to The Dark Angels, they have no contact with their founding Chapter. In official records the Chapter wear grey power armour with bone pauldrons and follow the dictates of the Codex Astartes reverently. Approximately three hundred years ago the Chapter adopted a colour scheme of mourning, painting the right half of their armour black. Publicly this was done when the Chapter lost a full third of their battle companies in a warp travel accident. It has been noted by some observers a limited number of the Chapter have started to remove the black paint from their armour, as some sort of honour marking.

In the last three hundred years the Denouncers have begun acting more like their Unforgiven brothers, following their own agenda. This is because the official events that damaged the Denouncers forces never occurred. The chapter lost a third of its battle companies when they went renegade and joined the Red Corsairs. The black paint is not a sign of mourning but a display of shame. The few brothers who wear pure grey armour are those who have slain one of their disloyal brothers and thus no longer have to show off their indignity. For the Denouncers do not want their fallen brothers to repent but to die.

While the Denouncers have their secret shame they still fight the enemies of mankind. Generally while they will pick and choose engagements once they have chosen a course of action they will see it through to the end. This has caused, on a number of occasions, them to let traitorous brothers escape their clutches, for they can be hunted down and destroyed another day.

Well the Storm Lord is in his USPS-pattern drop pod and on the way. So unless the government shuts down and traps him in a stasis field, you should see him soon!

Ive updated page 1 with a for all the ones ive received so far

20 in total but hoping they will all come through eventually

smurfwedge, could you PM the address to post the finished marines to? I'll post the Blood Angel and Fire Lord to you post haste, but I'm really, really not pleased with the member of the Black Pack I've been painting*, and I don't think I'll have time to finish painting a replacement before the end of April deadline

* I'm not pleased with the Blood Angel or the Fire Lord either, but they were rescued from previously (poorly) painted marines, whereas the member of the Black Pack was painted from scratch

...and dang, Peter!! Why did you have to make the Denouncer so awesome?? If I make a SM force in the far (grimdark) future, I hope you don't mind if I draw from that colorscheme, or outright steal it...

Just use blue tack to keep it there for the picture. If you tell me how it was initially I will glue it back

^ I knew something would break. Glue on the powersword arm however you want, actually I think the way it is posed now is better.
