It is certainly different, but I do like the original two better.
YMMV.

Look what I found, a Battle Masters soldier.
And an Empire knight.
A blast from the past.

After 14 months I finally painted more bandits for my small goblin band. Now with more hobgoblins.
I tried to paint outside my comfort zone, so a lot more washes and less vibrant colors.
All Warhammer bits except for the wolf body.

No fancy title this time.
Here an update on the last miniatures I panted.
First of all some Fenryll bandits.
The Fenryll lines is perfect for dirt and quick washes, but unfortunately they are a solid piece, with the base attached. And they are so fragile that I don't take the risk to rebase them.
Also, bandit #2, nice mullet.
Then some undead, from Heroquest to some Fantasy football, plus a knight.

I recently tried Mordheim, I'm full of zombies so I went with the undead, but I needed a ghoul and a vampire. So time to kitbash again.

Great job with those Heroclix! I would never have recognized them!
How well do they hold paint?

Surprisingly well. I was lazy and painted over the existing paint job. Let's say it is basecoat.

Long story short, I bought the game Runewars and one of its expansions. A game for 3 people with 60 miniature at 50€ it's not a bad deal.
The miniatures are a little flexible but they are easy to build. No customization at all and no extra bits, it's a very easy game, good for new people in the hobby.
Some sculpts are very good, most are generic but detailed. Worst case scenario, you can prox a full undead Warhammer army for 50 bucks.
Here some pictures.

Not a big story here, I found some very old chaos dwarves, before they went Mesopotamic, repaired and painted them. Also, I looted my bits box to double their number. You can easily see the intruders, but if you squint they work together.
And purple and green as any Marvel's villain.

Some very dark photos (you are welcome cloudy autumn) for this mordheim band of druchii. I'm still missing 2 beasts for the beastmaster, but I don't know what to use.
I had not so much parts for this band, so it is a little 40k-ish.
Not my best paint job, but the photos are so crappy you should not notice.
I tried 2 more palettes before this, so here a little extra.

Yup, another one.
I finally painted all my mummies and they are enough to make another band for Mordheim. To tell the truth I lack a couple of scorpions, for now I'm going to use the 3 vultures instead. There is a Heroquest mummy in the mix, the base is a little larger, but I have not the guts to cut it away. And he lacks bling, all the other guys are showered in gold. Poor mummy.

Finally an update. A small one. 4 minis from Deadlands. They are not very good, they are very flat, you can almost see how the two halves of the mold work, but at least they have character. The mad scientist is the best: goofy and crazy at the same time.

I'm really happy of these. Not my best paint job, but a good one for my standards. This was originally a Mordheim band for Orctober, but it developed in something more. The crew is still growing!

These guys are so much fun, great sculpting on the buxom Ork wench. We’re the bases made with balsa wood? They look really cool

Super unique squigs! Now I want to see a whole AoS squig army with shark-squigs, that's a brilliant idea.
