Subject: Dungeons & Lasers 3 - Woodhaven - modular HIPS buildings and miniatures - late pledge open

I think I'm going to only go for a single village. I had dreams of doing a huge sprawling wooden tavern/inn, but I just don't think it will look compelling without a good roof.
Sounds to me like what you really need is a 3d printer!
Yeah, I think you are right.
Still gotta figure out the most useful assortment of rooms that came along with my miniatures pledge lol.

I am mad enough to rpint this and try to figure out how to store it afterwards. Are you?
If not go with the tea boxes and plump for Woodhaven, its sensible, a swear word for mad gamers.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.
It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

They are admittedly rather nice but from my perspective the Rubicon is crossed.
Having a decent glue that didn't have blooming around the feet of the miniatures was the final step. I was going to procede anyway, but this ahem, cemented, my resolve.

We had to prepare stock and finish the production process of the new themes to start sending all the orders together, as this is too big a logistical undertaking to split it up. But now that we are almost ready, the first packages should be going out in the next few days!
Sewers redesigned to remove supporting ribs so there is less showing through the clear plastic - see the video

Beat me to the post. I am happy. I preferred Infernal but didn't like the armour. Infernal with no armour is the optimum birdie.
Other than the helmet the armour doesnt look bad, but it is not for me.
OK That settles it, I will be assembling my High Elf phoenix as a Frostheart phoenix now. I wasnt initially, and I bought the model before this kickstarter.

I was vocal about and made at least half a dozen comments about optional armour. I was polite about it though.

I suppose it should be normal for KS prices to be less than retail but Archon dragged late pledging on for so many literal years that "going to retail" feels like just a price hike now

Freyr the Stormbreaker is 3 sprues as it has the clear sprue for the lightning effects so sprue count doesn’t appear to be a factor in the price or that one would definitely cost more.
Huh. That's one tool cast once in gray and once in transparent.
Goes to show how cheap plastic casting is compared to tooling, if it makes financial sense to cast it twice and have the customer throw out half the parts from each.

The Wooden Cottages I rapid ordered have arrived. Good detail overall and they'll work nicely for what I have planned which was always going to involve a lot of modification anyway.
I did a quick mock up just to get a sense of scale and to see how the Dungeon Core set looks as the ground floor level, I don't intend to use them that way but I know others are considering it. The lack of windows is my main issue. The Stormcast can just about fit through the door (if she didn't have a base). The other figures are Fireforge peasants.
I had an idea to get that overhanging look that some medieval/fantasy buildings have so I trimmed off part of the core set long walls to get that effect, again I have other plans for this but I thought I'd try it out. They're going back in the box now until next year -- or whenever the rest is delivered.
