Exodite Eldar ride big dragon/dinosaur/lizard things and they've been around in fluff since rogue trader so it wouldn't even need a new race to appear into existing storyline, just some cool dinosaur kits and a couple of wood elves with sci fi guns figs.

I was surprised when I got back from my 10 year break that (along with the existance of Dark Eldar, Tau, and Necrons and disappearance of Squats) they hadn't gotten around to it yet, as in the 2nd ed. boxed set, they even had an army list entry for them, just no figs yet.. but when the second ed. boxed set came out, they didn't have figs for a Leman Russ or half the other common vehicles either yet. I assumed it was just something they would have gotten around to.

Others I'd like to see.

Horus Heresy - Adding Jet bikes, Special Characters for all the Primarchs, Adeptus Custodes, Sisters of Silence, yeah it'd be a big book.
Lost and the Damned - Just to make more interesting themes than using IG and saying they're Chaos.
Exodite Eldar - Already mentioned, but I'd agree, would love to see them.
Chaos Eldar - Do they still exist? I know they came up with Dark Eldar, but Chaos Eldar where supposed to live on actual worlds in the Eye of Terror.
Adeptus Mechanicus - Already mentioned, but I don't want them for the titans, do folks remember that list they put in the tide us over book when they changed from 2nd edition 40K to 3rd edition. Some of that stuff sounded awesome.

I'd love to see some kind of Rogue trader codex. Lets you take a variety of different models like IG, eldar, space marines. It would be hard to do and keep it balanced, but it could be very cool. I love the ideas a a rogue trader and his retinue of creatures.

On moon miranda.

Personally? For totally new factions?

First and foremost? Adeptus Mechanicus.

However, I feel that Chaos is too pigeonholed in 40k. It's either Marines or Daemons, no Chaos Xenos, no Mutant Hordes, no Chaos human forces etc.

It'd be really nice to see a Chaos book that has all sorts of corrupted and Chaotic xenos, human forces, etc. We could have Daemon Princes borne of the most debauched Eldar from before the fall, Xenos races like those mentioned in Fulgrim that are devoted to Chaos in their own ways, Dark Mechanicus forces, Eldar that in their desperation to find relief from the curse of Slaanesh turn to Khorne or Tzeentch for "salvation" of sorts.

Chaos is just too focused on Daemons and Space Marines unfortunately, when it affects and corrupts *everything*.

It'd also be cool to see books for stuff like the Hrud, Space Pirates (eldar pirates, mixed races pirates, human pirates, new xenos pirates, etc), Loxatl, etc.

We really don't need more books for subfactions, in fact we really need *fewer*. We need the books themselves to simply be able to adequately cover the varied factions through a good flexible core list or sublists. Or go to White Dwarf/Forge World for them.

However, that said, for my own selfish interests, if we must have more subfaction books, I'd go with a Death Korps codex, Chaos Legions (not just the 4 Cult legions either), Armored Companies, Drop Troops and Farsight Enclave. But, that said, we really shouldn't have any more subfaction specific books.

Indeed this is why people want to see Lost and the Damned return as an official, full fledged codex. Personally (and I think a good few others) would like to see it combined with the Daemon and CSM codex so you can field any of the three armies if you liked.

Tanith and Blood pact would be intresting to see, alternatively the Blood Pact could be elites in a Chaos codex if they focused on the legions of mortal that serve them. A mercanairy codex would be good to see but there would have to be restrictions ie, ni Khorne berserkers tag-teaming with Blood Angels

Iron Warriors. If Space Marines are allowed their own codex for every chapter that fights slightly different, I want a codex for a legion that fights totally differently than any other legion. I mean, the Loyalist SM book makes a better Iron Warriors army than the CSM book.

Yeah I know it can be done.
That's exactly the problem. Its okay to just think "well its an elf riding a something so that's an okay substitute"?
They aren't jetbikes, they are EXODITE DRAGON KNIGHTS by the name of the origional unit entry and I would assume a lot meaner in cc than a punk little guardian on a jetbike.

That line of thought would be like telling SW players their TWC should just be wolf figs counting as SM bikers, or telling them their Long Fangs are just devastator marines with beards. Even better, why a separate unit for a dreadknight? Just get a GK figure and glue it to the front of your dreadnought, it's a great substitute! As far as a codex that is indeed far different in unit composition than another of its race, I would think Exodite Eldar differ from Craftworlders a heckuva lot more than one SM chapter does from another.

Seeing that Cultist,Traitors & LaTD are the enemies that the Imperium face most often (fluff wise),the fact that an "official" codex for these factions doesn't exist is,IMO, a bit silly.

Forge World is official.

But the biggest problem is simply that when you come down to it: Cultists, Traitors, and LaTD are basically the exact same thing as the Guard book.
A few unit names will be different here and there, maybe some different psyker abilities, etc--but there's really nothing stopping you fielding a Traitor Guard army using the Guard codex.

But since we're wishlisting:
I want Codex: Wardens of the Eye.

A real Cadian army, with three different sublists(at least!) in there.
1) Cadian Shock Troops--your 'basic' Cadian army, guns and guts styled.
2) Kasrkin Regiment--Self explanatory. The Kasrkin are a sorely neglected aspect of the Cadian lore, and even Stormtroopers don't stand up when trying to effectively represent them based on the lore.
3) Cadian Interior Guard--If you don't know who these guys are, well...they're Cadian Shock regiments with an Inquisitorial bend. They commonly fight alongside Arbites Kill Squads and are constantly rooting out heretics and traitors who've managed to get past the primary security of Cadia itself and the other worlds of the Cadian sector.

On moon miranda.

Cadians are already what most of the IG book is based on (they are to the IG what the Black Legion is to the CSM's and the Ultramarines are to the Space Marines), and have been since at least 3E. Speaking as someone who owns probably ten boxes worth of Kasrkin, Kasrkin work just fine as Stormtroopers, that's what they were always designed, intended and envisioned as, simply Cadian produced Stormtroopers rather than Schola produced Stormtroopers. Just because one interprets a couple pages from Eisenhorn to mean they are something more doesn't mean they necessarily are, especially without any direct comparisons and in light of previous Codex fluff describing them as Stormtrooper equivalents.

That said, I'd love to see an army oriented around Kasrkin/Stormtroopers rather than having to use mine as Carapace Vets (and better ST rules to go along with that, not the overcosted gak we have now for them). I was hoping that Grey Knights would do that, being a successor to Codex: Daemonhunters, but alas, they didn't really.
