I have limited resources for making a ork list. I do not own any battle wagons so I want to try and make a list with meganobs and Old Zogwart and either a big mek with KFF or Mad doc work.

I got two trucks, So they are my only transport. 8 mega nobs, Enough boys for about three squads of 25 and a bunch of others weird stuff like one min troop of Kommandos, about two units of 3 AOBR Deff Kopters. Warbosses, etc.

I was thinking something like this...sorry if list is a bit rough.

HQ: Mad Doc and Zogwart
Elites: Two troops of Meganobs. 6 of them have combi weapons and four of which are missiles.
Troops - Three of 25 + nob with PK

Heavy: Thinking boom gun? They are cheap and I got two of them.

I dunno. What do you guys think I should do with them? I wanna keep the truck and meganob since I do not have BW, I need a fast transport and I wanna experiment with Zogwart. Get to know him and how he works. Turn Eldrad into a squig..than get bored of him than go to the next thing.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
OK, Here is what I got and I believe it is the best according to what I have to work with

HQ: Old Zogwart
Elites: 4 combi flamer megenobs - Trukk
Elites: 4 Meganobs - 2 TLS, 2 Combi skorcha
Elites: 5 Nob Bikers 1 Pain boy Biker - Waaagh banner, PK, 1 combi skorcha, Ammo runt, the rest just have big choppa.
Troops: 20 boys and one PK nob
Troops: 20 Boys and One PK nob
Heavy: Looted Wagon - Boom Gun
Heavy: Looted Wagon Boom Gun

My plan is to "hopefully" go first. Just in case depending on if I do or not. Deploy the Trukks in the safest possible place. Than run them up 18' and just get them the heck up to my opponent. Same with all my nobs including the bikers. Than I have Zogwart deployed in close proximity to my enemies HQ. Use zogwarts curse while walking the boys up. If his boy squad gets thin...oh well right? Split him away from it and onto the other squad of boys.

People do not understand that Zogwart is a powerful psyker whom has posion attacks and good Ork stats.

I think I got enough Antitank with all the meganobs and PK so Boom Gun takes care of any foot soldiers. I got great luck with them so they should do fine I think.

Unless you guys can think of something better for the looted wagons at 210 points? I just like the feel of them is all.

Ok, right now with the units you have you are going to have a difficult time putting together an effective list. The strength of orks is in their troops and right now you just have way too many toys to have enough troops.

If you want to run things in Trukks then everything needs to be in trukks. Running one or two will simply get them blown up on the first turn.

If you want to run guys on foot then you need a LOT of guys on foot otherwise they will get killed before you reach your opponent.

Old Zog, or any warphead for that matter, is best run with a footslogging army.

Make the two squads of nobs one.

I have never had much success with boom gun looted wagons but with two at 1k points you will probably get a turn or two of shooting before they get killed.

You have a rather expensive and important unit in a weak trukk. Odds are some bolter fire on the first turn could knock out that single trukk. In my experience a single trukk never works.

Don't listen to the Trukk neighsayers. Trukks aren't absolutely horrible, and at the same time, they're not like Space Marine Rhinos, in that you should expect them to die very, very quickly. You're (IMO) doing exactly the right thing by using them to Alpha strike your Meganobz into the enemy's tanks, before the Boyz get there. I would, however, if you're going to run the Nob bikers, remove one of the squads of Meganobs, and instead get a Warboss (either in Mega armour to ride with your Mega's, or on a Bike to go with your Bikers) so that you can take those Bikers as a Troops choice. That'll give you a tough, fast scoring unit you could use at the end of the game to try and zip to objectives, and the Nobs will work decently enough at anti-tank as well.

Also remember that Boomguns are Ordinance weapons, which means they get an extra d6 to penetrate vehicle armour.

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

If yer an Ork, why dont ya WAAAGH!!

REALLY? I had no idea about that! Well If that is the case than I like them even more lol.

Well thanks for the advice. I will take them all with heart and give the list a go over.

Reason why I wanted Zogwart was merely for novelty and because I never used him. I might or might not keep him. Maybe he will work or not who knows right?

Thanks Guys. I am gonna have a lot of fun with this next time I meet with my friends.

not quite. The rule for Ordinance is 2d6 pick the highest. So you never actually get more than +d6 to your roll to pen- just a better chance of it happening.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

Ah, right. Well, that's still better than a single d6, take it or leave it. Hope I didn't get your hopes up too much.

So what do you think about this. Its what I got so far and I think its a bit of an improvement over what I had before.

HQ: Zogwart
HQ: Mega Armored Warboss
Elite: 4 Meganobs with Combi Rocket
Troops: 5 Nobs and Pain boy on Bikes with this set up
Nob - Big Choppa, TL Shoota, Waagh Banner
Nob - Big Choppa, Combi Skorcha
Nob - Power Claw
Nob - Big Choppa - Combi Rocket

Troops - 20 boys with PK Boys Nob
Troops - 20 boys with PK Boys Nob
Troops - 20 boys with PK Boys Nob

Heavy is the same with The Two looted Wagons with boom gun.

So you think that is a better improvement overall? I cut one Meganob squad to add a warboss and improve the Bikers overall. I will Deploy so that Even I go second I can still Get my Trukk to get cover saves. Maybe throw the Nobs in front of it and use their 12" movement to go forward as well as move out of the trucks way as it screams 18" away.

So I got a hit them heavy and fast with Nobs and Trukk Mega's. While the rest runs up as the backup and hits the enemy after they have been weakened. Hopefully turning a HQ into a squig lol.

OR

FIRST TURN WAAAGH! Lol...Its possible when you get a 6 on the warp head thing lol.

Sounds like a plan. I've always wanted to play with a Warphead. And it's not like other players are ever expecting Orks to suddenly teleport, or have multiple Waaagh!s

Yeah, I cannot wait till Tomorrow. Who knows, Maybe I will end up really liking them and can unlock the potential to them like I have for many other things in my army.

So close to figuring out how best to deploy looted so that I can make use of its cannons the best. Once I figure out a good synergy for those with the rest of an army. I can start learning tactics on how to best play that list against multi armies.

Noticed one nob has a big choppa, a waaagh! banner and a TL shoota. Just curious how you plan to model that guy. Especially since he is on a bike. Can he drive with no hands?

yes orks can drive/ride with no hands!! and always always boyz before toys. i play the rule 40 boyz + 2 nobs for 500pts then + 20 boyz + 1 nob every 500 pts more. that way you never run out of boys

all ur base are belong to da

all the armies i used to beat b4 6ed
