Title says it all, which environmental theme has been done for a Tau army the least? The two I've seen least are Jungle and Volcanic Tau.

Ash Wastes?

I also don't think I've ever heard of swamp Tau before.

Desert, urban, and jungle Tau are all fairly common. I've seen iceworld Tau too. I can't really think of other environments aside from deep space, and I've seen some airbrushed Tau vehicles with star patterns on them that'll make your head explode.

Working on iceworld tau atm, but have never seen volcanic tau before. That would be pretty nice, especially if you got the lighting effects down.

How about competitive Tau?
I don't think that Tau are so overdone that you HAVE to find a niche that still has some creative potential. But then again, my Tau are plain Sa'cea and only one or two other Tau players in my area.

I'm actually re-vamping my Tau to volcanic right now which is partially why I made this thread My shas'ui without helmets have rebreather units, thermovision goggles, more powerfull aerials to push their comm signals through atmospheric interferance and extra water packs on their packs and one has a search drone that he uses to find a safe way through hazardous terrain. My vehicles and Battlesuits are going to have cooling systems on their jet engines to keep them from malfunctioning from ash intake and my Kroot may have bits of cloth on their bodies to protect them from floating embers.

I'm painting them with a dark red armor, brown cloth and yellow sept markings like a Fire Fighters reflective fabric. My Kroot are going to be a pale tan to contrast the Fire warriors and the bases of my models are all going to be painted depending on what they are. Battlesuits will have bases with lava on it and I'm gonna try and make it so that the down draft from their engines is making waves in the lava. Fire Warriors will have ash bases and Kroot will have bases of volcanic rock.

Actually I saw a "Space Tau" army, the girl used the Ke'lshan color scheme since it's for ship board duty. She modeled her Tau with little anti grav drives on their back packs, used GS to modify their helmets and asteroid bases. Her Pirahnas had glass canopies. The idea was that her force was fighting on an asteroid base and so had to fight in the vaccume of space.

Oh and an ocean Tau force to inspired by the battle in the SW codex. Battlesuits with propellors, Piranha creating wake etc.

Pics or they didn't happen.

Mainly as I want to have a look at both the armies in question.
