2 out of 2 army list generators* I have used so far state chaos dreadnought costs 90 points total if equipped with 2xDCCW or DCCW+ML.

Is this correct, granting the existence of some faq or rules update I must have lost trace of, or is it wrong?

Wrong.

You have to add the 2nd DCCW for an extra 10 points. And then replace that with ML for free.

So either of the variants you mention should cost 100.

That is incorrect. It costs 10 points to gain a DCCW, and while swapping out the missile launcher is free you still need to have 2 DCCW to start with to end up with DCCW+ML

Edit: just checked, and AB3.3b with 5th april file gets the correct point value.

That's exactly the amount I "pay" for them, it is just that I haven't found yet a way for those 2 creators to stay accurate to the rule in that specific point.

Having this problem in just one of them was not an issue, but finding it in both systems I use, I started thinking there might be some cost correction/update I missed.

No, there isnt a problem with AB. It gives the correct points value.

There is no change to the points value for a chaos dread.

Note that when you first make a Dreadnought in Army Builder, the weapons options will appear red, indicating that you must take one. Also, an error message will appear at the bottom.

You need to take a weapon, which increases the cost above the base 90.

I think that is what the OP is missing - you MUST pick a second weapon, and while the missile launcher is "free" you still have to pick a DCCW, for 10 points, before you have a legal entry.

It might something to do with the fact that I'm using AB V2.2c (spanish version) and AFTER I choose both weapons it still costs 90 points.
Before all that, checking units list above, I can see "CHAOS DREADNOUGHT - cost 80 Pts." that seems to be the source of the problem.

Anyway, this post was just to find out if I lost a piece of the puzzle or it was simply a coincidence. This has been answered, so nuff' said.

The source of the problem is they ha ve the dreadnought price cost at 80points, when it is 90+mandatory weapon choice.
