Cultist of Nurgle with Open Sores
|
So there's several parts of imperium that are specially equipped and trained to hunt down & kill daemons and other assorted beasties of chaos. Now that seems a tad unfair on those spikey chaps (in my experience deamon hunter players do everything they can to seek out chaos players and act all smug when they trounce them). Seems a bit not-quite-cricket. So I say chaos should have units who are devoted to hunting down and killing grey knights, inquisitors, etc. and have powers to nullify the special rules that they use, in the same way that deamon hunters can for example nullify daemonic saving throws etc. Codex Daemon Hunters Hunters! Who's with me?!

Armies:
"Hazmarines" chapter - several 1,000 points
The craftworld "Yal Tir" - 2,000 pts & growing
- Nurgle cultists... coming soon... |

They can't really do much against the Grey Knights other than fight them and hope they get killed, as they're anathema to daemons and other Chaos-aligned stuff. You don't go hunting something that causes discomfort or pain to you simply by being near you.
No, but really, what could Chaos send to hunt down Grey Knights? It'd just reek of one-upmanship, and the fluff doesn't need more of that...

That's about as good an excuse as "But he started!".

Quoted for relevance:
obsidianaura wrote:How about they release the new Demiurg as an army with rules like this.
When they are used against Marine armies their equipment is disabled by Ion tech. So no power armour save or power weapons work, they strike last in combat and are always wounded on a 2+ and the Demiurg have prefered enemy agaisnt them. Also deepstriking units mishap when deploying near them
Not fair you say?
It's fine against Daemons ?

Which, again, is about as good an excuse as "But he started!". One Codex being silly and broken versus certain armies is not a carte blanche for another Codex to do the same to another Codex.

As a daemons player, i couldnt really care less.
GK are strong, but not game breaking.
Just need to tweak lists a bit for all commers.
against them just drop back a bit further than usual, make sure you get the assaults (usually do)
and spam letters / crushers.
Removing saves makes them drop nice and quickly.
Also, if they do have a large threat then they have paid alot of points for it, so the army will be smaller as a result.
Just pretty sick of all the "OMG! they are broken!!1!" crap everyone keeps stating.
They are simply another army, nothing has changed in the game.
Yes, tactics to beat them vary, but they do against every army, so its no issue.

Oh, I'm not saying they're broken/unbeatable. It just seems odd to have an entire army who's raison d'etre is to defeat another specific army.
