Subject: Brotherhood Champion Sturm Stormblade (New GK character)

I have an idea for a new GK character, however, I haven't decided on his fluff yet. He's going to be a Brotherhood Champion that leads a squadron of Grey Knight Interceptors in rapid-insertion missions - basically, get in quickly, take out target(s) and get the heck out of dodge just as quickly. His specialty is guerilla warefare, using their speed to strike at the opponent when they are least suspecting. Or something like that.
Help or input into fluff would be appreciated.
Brotherhood Champion Sturm Stormblade
WS7 BS4 S4 T4 W2 I6 A* LD10 SV2+ 190pts.
UNIT TYPE: Jump Infantry (Character)
WARGEAR: Artificer Armor, Storm Bolter, Frag/Krak/Psyk-out Grenades, Iron Halo, Personal Teleporter
Staff of Retribution: Unlike other Brotherhood-Champions, Sturm carries his trusted Staff of Retribution as opposed to an Anointed Blade. He is a master of the staff.
The Staff of Retribution is a master-crafted Nemesis warding stave. Additionally, any failed attempt to wound with it can be re-rolled.
SPECIAL RULES: The Aegis, Fearless, Independent Character, Preferred Enemy (Daemons), Psyker (Mastery Level 1)
Fast Army: The army that Sturm leads is almost exclusively a very fast army. In any army with Sturm Stormblade, Grey Knight Interceptors are troop choices. However, no grey knight infantry in his army may take dedicated transports.
The Bold and the Quiet: Sturm excels at stealthy, surgical strikes. Also, he is such an inspiring leader that his unit will never fall back without him.
Any unit that Sturm joins becomes Fearless and has the Hit-and-Run and Stealth USR's.
*The Perfect Warrior: See Grey Knights codex p. 26. However, he may not re-roll any invuln saves with Parrying, only armor saves.
Titan's Herald: See Grey Knights codex p. 26.
PSYCHIC POWERS:
Hammerhand: See Grey Knights codex p. 25.
Heroic Sacrifice: See Grey Knights codex p. 26.
Any input appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds very interesting, good use of the fact that champions arent termies. Interceptors as troops can be fun. Shutting 6 units around can cause havoc. Seems balanced. Pay a high price to get a mobile army. Very curious to see how this would go against DoA armies

Actually fairly good but why cant they take transports if they are supposed to be fast also and just as a suggestion , overcharged personal teleporters can move 30 inches twice a game instead of the regular 1 and the unit he is with gets them to but only one unit.

Oh, and just pointing out, "Sturm" is storm in German, so you've got a character named "Storm Stormblade". Almost makes ol' Canis Wolfborn jealous, eh?

They wouldn't stand a chance, not with Warp Quake all over the place, S5 stormbolters and power weapons everywhere.

It's there.

I was thinking of giving them a weakness to balance them out. A jump infantry army with S5 stormbolters and potentially I6 S5 power weapons which can move 30" is pretty nasty. But they can still get transports - storm ravens and land raiders - just not the cheaper ones....unless you take inquisitional henchmen dedicated transports (yes, they are ok).
I think moving 30" twice per game may have too many opponents complaining.

Interesting fact indeed. I was also thinking of the name Sturm Brightstaff, but liked the name Stormblade instead.
