Notes: Librarians go with the Paladins to make them S6 (might of titan and squad casting HH) and I10 with quicksilver, and the banner giving more attacks and falchions giving +2A (the way my LGS plays it) for 5 attacks on any falchion wielder, and 3 attacks on the BB wielder. The lascannons are there to help kill transport so the paladins can kill the troops (either by deep striking, or just walking there.) anything MC is for wound allocation (even after 3 wounds the 2nd set of MC stuff can help there.)

Is this viable non friendly games though? I'm going to try to test it soon, and if it works well I may try to take it to a local tourny next time one comes up

You have most of your points slogging it over the board, and 3 flimsy transports that cant help them.

since you have 3 razor's, any anti-tank will be hitting them 1st turn.
After that your walking your army in while being shot at by everything they have.
While this may not be a huge problem sometimes, against an army like guard or tau your saves mean nothing or you have to make a bucket of them at a time.

Against any mobile army they will simply move about gunning you down so you cant snag them in CC.

I think hammers are really needed in this list. You'll have a hard time touching a furioso dread without it

But yea I think the fact that either A. You'll need to get lucky with DS or B. You'll walk will hamper the paladins

You should really be using the cover save Power as well, can't remember which one it was. But a lot of the time you will be in or able to get in 50% cover, and upping that to 3+ will be really useful.

Also, a couple of Psycannons in the Paladin squads would be useful.

Take Draigo so your Deathstars are scoring as well. You should get lots of terrified stares when you set up 20 Paladins.

@jackel: yeah it's not very competitive then. Still may try in a tourny

@ken: nope, S6 with 2D6 armor pen and like 64 attacks on the charge. even a vehicle moving flatout will be hit about 6 times, and then should die hopefully (ave roll of 7 is 13, so most anything but a land raider is statistically dead if they all roll 7, and get each result once)

@ rodgers: I might I was thinking of dropping the Razors so they could become lvl 3 psykers and use HH (and pallys use force weapons) or cover save too, but decided not to for now.

@blade: can't, it would mean losing the double deathstars idea as I'd need to drop a librarian which draigo would make them MUCH MUCH weaker (see below)

terran: can they beat 60 force weapon hits, 4 regular hits at I10, 2 wounds each, and S5? (possibly S6 if I drop the razors). I very much doubt anything could survive it, I mean statistically Death company will take 32 hits (2 non power weapon hits) and then 25 wounds, killing most of them, and that's with pallys getting charge vs equal WS units. and that's before DC get to strike even with lemartes (or really any marine force besides GK)

with no charges they get 50 attacks vs chaos termies, ave WS is 4 right? therefore about 33.33 PW hits (27.775 rounding to 28 wounds), and 2 non power weapon hits (all wound), and a squad of say 10 chaos termies with storm shields saves the non PW wounds, and and the 2/3 of the PW hits is still 9.24 wounds, or nearly all of them. and this is before they strike, and I suppose if all the others had Thammers they might have a chance, or if you rolled very well, and/or I rolled poorly. (no offense intended, correct me if I'm wrong on anything)

hmm is very true. But every terminator would have a combi-plasma, a mix of LC and chainfists, 4+ constant invul and a chaos sorc with warptime and bolt of change.

They would definitely not be able to match paladin's I10 but their shooting is nothing to scoff at. Granted only 1 bolt of change shot but thats reroll to hit and wound with instant kill. I assume you only have 5+ invul. I believe you psychic helm would be a big protection against this.

A combi plas burst will do 4 wounds on average (5+ invul considered) and 8 wounds if rapid firing. Afterwards though pallies would definitely have the complete advantage but you didn't give them S5 bolters :( or psycannons.

I think overall terminator champions would be at a huge disadvantage here and it'll all fall down to whether or not they can get the rapid fire plasma off. Even then assault will rigged against them.

But still I'll take the challenge as the chaos gods demand

Just wait till I get mah cult terminators in 5-6 years when GW redo the CSM codex.
