So I am converting some venoms and I wanted to know what the fire arcs on their weapons should be in case they get immobilized. Obviously turret mounts would be the best, but I dont want to be seen as modeling for advantage. Hull mounts are the easiest to model but worst rules wise.

The pictures and the fluff dont shed much light on it

What do you THINK the new models will have?

All over

From the picture it's like the viper. Under slung gun and a turret. As per the FAQ under slung guns have 360. So they both have 360.

Which FAQ would that be, the BRB one? With an answer that specifically says the underslung mounts on the Falcon, and variant units that have models based on the Falcon, only have a 180* arc? Or that with the underslung mounts, or any other mount that is ill-defined per the basic Arc of fire rules that you default to the even more basic Arc of fire rules that state: "Use what the model can do, or looks like it could do if it was glues in place" , That FAQ?

The Vyper has an underslung T-L Shuri-cat/ Shuriken cannon; that underslung gun does not have a 360, in fact it should be treated as hull mounted; as that is what it is.

OP: Basically it all comes down to Model it how you want, it is looks really cool(and more importantly if you can model it to actually move, while making it look cool); then go for it, and keep in mind the actual Fire arc rules: Weapons can fire in any arc they can be moved to, or the default types if they are modeled statically.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

Kel has it exactly.

I've built mine off Vyper frames, with the back one pintel-mounted on the passenger section, and the front one underslung with a 180 degree arc like a falcon or WS'd underslung gun.

compromised

one has 2 hull mounted SC
one has 2 underslung SC

obviously one is better than the other, if you happen to roll an immobilized but I hope people dont accuse me of modeling for advantage. I just want them to look different. Goes well with my mix of new and old raiders and ravagers.
