So, I finially decided to start an Warhammer Fantasy Army, with my favorite being the Vampire Counts. Problem is I came from being orkz in 40k which being a horde army takes a long time to field a decent army. With Vampire Counts to my knowledge being another horde army I will come across the same issue.

So my question is, do I suck it up and go Vampire Counts. Or do I settle for a more "specialist" army? and what armies would those be? (Im fairly open to any army expect ogres and greenskins)

My main goal is to try to field a decent army to play with my friends at the store

When life give you lemons keep them, because hey, free lemons

this. If you love VC, play VC, otherwise you'll end up selling them a few months down the road or letting them collect dust.
