As written in the topic above, I am going to get the Great Unclean one Greater Daemon of Nurgle for my Plague Marine army.
The questions are:
Is it hard to assemble?
Is it hard to paint? I mean for showcase... not tabletop
Does it fit in an oval base? (Valkyrie, Stormraven and Dreadknight bases)
Is it worth the money?

One of the guys around here has that, and the only question I can answer definitively is: yes, it's about the perfect size/shape for the large oval base.

I can't tell you if it's worth the money, but it is one good looking (and suitably disgusting) model.

Resin models can, at times, be a bit iffy to assemble. The resin can warp with heat, so sometimes the pieces don't fit perfectly with each other. Some very basic greenstuffing fixes it, though, or even using some heat to get the pieces back the right way.

What about the cost? 115€ is alot of money, but I really want that thing...

the sword, the 2 horns and the body.

its the easiest of the 4 greater daemons to assemble.

Yes, I have the Keeper of Secrets. The hair, man, the haiiiiirrrrr!

I was also planning to make SC rules for him (don't like the IA one that much)
The character will be based on him though.

It's essentially a softball of resin---with a few parts to glue on. Easiest FW model I've had to assemble yet.

Just make sure you wash it with a toothbrush/warm soapy water----his cracks/crevices tend to hold mold release---which you'll only discover after priming. So wash well---then easy assemble.

Or I could just spray a thin coat of Matte Varnish before I prime it.

He's the special Nurgle Character----farts Nurglings--can throw pie plates of them, etc. He's the Plaguefather (You have to say that in Don Corleone's voice);



I use mine to represent him (Or just a Great Unclean One). I think technically by the fluff description he's on a Palanquin like a herald----but hell he's a Daemon---just use his rules and make up a new dude...

UPDATE ON THE RULES

Haven't went in for one of these myself yet, but I have always been very disappointed with the size/price ration for this one according to pictures on FW website, especially in comparison to the other greater daemons.

That said, the Plague Hulk and Nurgle Daemon Prince are both great models, so I'm sure this one would be also.

i ahve the greater demon and its ace not painted it yet but the model its self is very ncie i would say go for it,

Also, would it fit on a Valkyrie/Stormraven base?

its about 4 inches to top of head from base , 2.5 inches from front to back, and 6 inches across.

admittedly thats rather small for the price when compared to the bloodthirster (10.5 tall, 10 wide, 6 from front to back including wings) , however it contains more material than the more expensive keeper (6.5 tall, 1 wide, 2 from front to back).
