Ok, there is alot of Grey knight named characters. What i want to know is, Fluff wise, who you think is the best and why?

Personally, I like Mordrak. He submitted himself to the right of cleansing, only to find that his former squadron's ghosts were lingering around him and appeared to aid him in battle. Its so... Different. 40k fluffwise anyway.

What about you?

Sorry, did I see votes for Draigo? That's funny, good joke guys, makes me laugh that anyone thinks his actual fluff is better than Mordrak or Crowe. He would be good if not for his ridiculous feats that eclipse Primarchs, despite only being a humble Grey Knight.

Votes for Draigo? I agree. He is terrible fluff wise.

Crowe, i hate. For rules. Fluff is ok, but Mordrak beats them all for me.

these Polls are VERY unscientific as they are voluntary in nature and will naturally attract extreame viewpoints.

Moderate viewpoints will rarely answer a poll due to apathey.

Indeed.

My point, Darkvoid, was that while there appear to be a "majority" of Draigo/GK fluff haters, they are in fact a vocal minority. The people who like it or can get past it and people who are undecided don't tend to post as often as the haters for fear of being shouted down and/or ridiculed or we're all too busy collectively rolling our eyes at the constant bile of Mard Ward Hate Threads.

I liked stern's conflict M'kachen I was disappointed when M'kachen wasn't in the daemon's codex.

Incidentally, I was disappointed when Amon Ch'akai and Azazael weren't in the Fantasy version.

Draigo is too much stupid fluff wise in my opinion. He can be a Grey Knight all he wants, but he can't surpass a Primarch dammit.

My vote goes for Crowe!

Draigo's fluff in and of itself is fine for about 70% of his two pages he gets. In fact, page one is so fine that if Matt Ward was told that only one page of lore was needed, I am sure he wouldn't of had to make an entire page that was really not needed.

But I'm not as offended by the Journeys of the Uncorruptable Man in the Warp as others could be. True...it is a stretch, but there is a DnD concept for a campaign called Planescape that deals with characters going into the planes of other realities and some come out fine (though keep in mind the parrallels for corruption in both systems is very different).

and when you consider that the entire escapade is the Dark Gods toying with him it becomes even better.

as it was explained, the Dark God might have let him do those things so they could instantly fix them and show him the hopelessness of his quest. a last ditch effort to corrupt him?

What, no Thawn. Unlike Coteaz, Karamazov, and Valeria he is a GK, so were the love.

Coteaz, I love how they changed him from an incorruptable zealot to a questionable character. His quest for immortality while trying to stay within the bounds of the Inquisition. Having vast networks of spies that keep an entire quadrant under his thumb.

I wish Daemonhosts weren't so bad in game otherwise I'd run him around with couple.

as far as Grey Knights go, I think Crowe has the most intreaguing story. the others don't really go anywhere, but Crowe's story opens up a lot of narrative possabilities.

Or Draigo might be in fact Bobo, the pink Spacemonkey from the Dimension of Suck...i mean, both interpretations have the same amount of backing from the current fluff.
On a slightly more serious note, as it stands now Draigo is the definition of a Marty Stu character, infallible, undefeatable and without any weakness.
Some might like this kind of writing but i personaly prefer the somewhat more toned down fluff from the old Codex Daemonhunters.

He overshadows them all put together with his terribly insane background.

Obviously he's actually a pawn of the Dark Gods.. just look at all those Daemonic gifts.. extra toughness from Nurgle, greater strength from Khorne, immunity to instant-death from Tzeentch, and an inhumanly large from Slaanesh.
