Hello there! Just wondering... how well do Trukks and Kans work together? I love the models, but I'm not sure on the synergy of these two... And I want my orks motorized.
Also, what about Kilkannon Battlewagons? Can one BW with a KFF Big Mek be a worthy support to the Kans, or is that a stupid idea to execute?

If you want motorized orks, a kan-wall isn't the way to go.
Killkannon battlewagons....overcosted, underperforming battlecannons. No thanks.

Well Kans and Trukks don't mix. It's takig elements from two forms of armies - the Kan Wall and a more truer Speed Freakz style list - and trying to mash them together. One or the other, not both.
As for Killkannons, well a gunboat style battlewagon can work in certain armies. Give it an 'ard case, some rokkits or big shootas, armour plates and probs a kannon or zzap gun and you could have a nice mobile gun fortress... until it blows up. The KFF would add some decent protection from most incoming fire and you could put some lootas with a mek or two as extra umph. In a speedy list the idea is expensive and redundant, a horde list you want something else, mainly the Kans. A more mek-based list though... that would be neat.

yeah, I asked this question a couple of week's ago.
Basically everyone says, from a competative POV, don't do it.
I have not applied the theory.

Sadly, Kans do not work well with Trukks. The biggest issue is pacing: as an ork, you want your whole army to hit at once, or at least fairly soon after one another. Kans will lag behind trukks, but will provide invaluble cover for hordes of footsloggin boyz.
As for the battlewagon, it's achilles heel is the short range on the killcannon. It's simply not worth the time it takes to drive the thing up, sit still and start plugging away, and odds are your opponent will manage to off it quickly after that.
As a cost-effective alternative, we have the Looted Wagon with the Boomgun. More strength than a boomgun, and 36" of range rather than 24". Also, the model's total cost is 105 rather than 150.
Or, if you like the reliability of the battlewagon, another route to go is filling the thing full of lootas. At 15pts a piece, you could get 5 of them for a little more than the price of a killcannon, and they fire d3 hits at the same strength as the killcannon, with 48" range, and you can fire while moving. Filling a wagon with those suckers makes for a mobile and brutal infantry/light vehicle smashing combo.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"
"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"
"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"
"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!" |

It's really not difficult to make them work in the same army. The trick is figuring out what you want to focus on.
Just Trukks+ Kanz I would say no. There's no point.
Now, 2-3 30 strong Boyz mobz being shielded with 6-9 Killa Kanz, with 3-4 Trukk Mobz can work quite well.
Basically the Kanz and Boyz march up straight towards the highest enemy concentration while the Trukks scream up the flank.
At 157 pts for a fully kitted out Trukk Mob, and 120-150 pts for 3 Killa Kanz it's easy to fit both in to a 1500 pts + army with room for Boyz, Big Mek with KFF and whatever other units you like.
