i kinda wanna try up again on fantasy
i like skeletons and kinda wanna do like a aztek style skeleton army i was thinking something like
40 skeletons with spears and shields
3 chariots
3 chariots
6 carrion birds
mebe some tomb guard, how would these work. what is good and what sucks. tomb kings any good? or would counts work better

The new Tomb Kings book comes out next month, you should probably wait to get anything new until then. You'd probalby be pretty safe just getting some skeletons though...

VC skeletons can be used for TK, too, and look better. There's also Mantic for skellies on the cheap
It may be worth getting some before the TK book hits, as when O&G arrived the boyz box doubled in cost (or rather, halved in contents).

i have some mantic skeletons on order, 40 of the revenants...thinking armoured skeletons. and would VC work for aztek skeletons or should i use TK

Aztec would definitely fit TK better, I think...

I don't think chariots will work with the whole Aztec feel. Unless they are pulled by something other than horses.

it seems to be more of a skeleton army, in a jungle temple setting as far as bases go, with a tonne of pikemen for spears
would a block of 60 skeletons be good as my base, supported by 2 units of 3 chariots and archers

I think Vampire Counts would be a better choice, but that's only because of the Vampire Coast.
It's already in the Southlands by several abandoned Lizardmen cities(which are Mayan and Aztec based).
