Very simple question, I think.

For armies with Combat Squad who opt to deepstrike, do you (1) deepstrike them first and then combat squad them after landing, or do you (2) combat squad them first and then deepstrike the 2 squads separately?

Thanks.

You deep strike as two, the answer is pretty clear, unless you decide to read the FAQ wrong.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

At deployment you choose to combat squad.

The INAT FAQ clarifies it in the following manner, when you choose to combat squad, you must do so before the game begins, not after the unit arrives from reserves, unless they arriving bia a drop pod.

What is inconclusive is whether or not you are able to Combat Squad when deploying from Reserves.

If you do allow it, the Combat Squad rules specifically allow the two units to be deployed separately.

The argument as to whether or not it is possible in the first place has been hashed out extensively elsewhere, though... So I think this one can be put to bed.
