I'm not sure if this is the right section but:

I've heared about these Knight Class Walkers and am not sure what they are. I looked around a bit and all I could find was that they aren't Titans, which was what I originaly thought.

So, if there not titans, what are they?

Thanks

They are between a dreadnight and a warhound. BIG compared to me and you, but small compared to a titan.

EDIT: Used not by adeptus mechanicus personnel but by the knights of the feudal worlds surrounding forge worlds in payment for somethings.

Technically not titans, they got some pretty big guns and titan close combat weapons. And yes, they're called knights since they're vassals to the forgeworld or something.

Not AdMech? Interesting, I've always envisioned Knights being support units to the flanks of Titans in combat.

You're accurate. They support titans ala skirmishers to the big boys.

Mechanicum deals quite extensively with Knights ... it's a pretty good read too.

Knights first appeared in Epic a very long time ago. The original fluff (which appears to differ from that linked Lexicanum article) is that the Exodites developed the original versions of the class (including a cool-looking centauroid model). They used them both for defense as well as herding the giant dinosaur-like creatures found on many Exodite worlds. Human colonists who settled near the Exodites copied the eldar design and created human machines that were similar in size. And, as usual, the orks promptly made their own version when they blundered into both groups. In Epic, the ork version is a scaled down gargant referred to as a "Stompa". Note that the Epic stompa is NOT the same as the stompa that GW released for 40K, as the latter is closer in size to what Epic referred to as a "Slasha Gargant".

When the Imperium discovered the colony worlds, the Forge Worlds were impressed by the design of the knights, and recruited the colonists to assist the Titan Legions using their walkers.

Coolness. Wonder why they don't make these in 40K scale.

Because they're a strange size and they were pretty obscure in the fluff until a couple of years ago.

The original Apocalypse units were recogniseable - Baneblades were always pretty iconic Imperial Guard tanks in Epic, and the same with Orks and Stompas. As said above, the 40k Apocalypse Stompa is actually about the size of a smaller Gargant from Epic.

As for size, they're bigger than a Dreadknight/Trygon, but not quite as big as a super heavy. So you've got a model that's too big for their older plastic technology, too big for standard 40k games, but too small to be an impressive Apocalypse unit to draw sales.

Would be a cool super-heavy support weapon for an Ad-Mech army imo.

There were a few different generations of the Knight titans. Basically they were all one man titans. They were smaller than a warhound titians, but were usually better than superheavy tanks. They were bigger, had bigger weapons, and were faster than a dread plus they had shields. I always liked them when I played epic.

That eldar centaur knight looks absolutely awesome. Id love to see some modern fluff/experimental rules for it. It reminds me of something from Shadow of The Colossus.
