If you're taking 1 you should take 2!

My only issue with them is that to get a worthwhile Boomwagon you're looking at 115 pts (wagon, gun, ardcase)

Without the ardcase you're just asking to be blown up in T1

If I used them (which I don't) I'd actually take 3. Use them as rear artillery like basilisks and bombard the enemy on their approach.

I usually just run one (the one in my avatar, incidentally). That alone is usually enough to scare my opponents for the first couple of turns whilst I get everyone else up the board.

'Ard Case is a must, and a good bit of cover helps too.

I usually try to sneak at least one into my list but most the people in my little group have got wise to it and aim for them above all else, which isn't so bad, at least they're not shooting at my wagons or trukks.

What is your army theme? If a gunline, definately got for 3 and throw in some Loota boyz along with some rokkit buggies for some added fun.
