I was hoping someone could give some advice on where I could get some full face closed helmets (replacement heads) for IG? Something along the lines of the Elysian heads from FW. Or just maybe something cool you stumbled upon?

I believe that's the standard site for IG conversions.

Pig Iron Productions has an extensive line of replacement heads and I've seen quite a few of them on Dakka w/ IG.

thanks for the heads up on Pig Iron. EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thanks much! On a side note, what is the general consensus about using their actual System Troops as replacment figs for the IG?

Look too high tech, maybe heavy infantry for stormies, but it gets pricey and doesnt quite look right for normal peeps.

It's a bizzare world we game in. I can see your point about them being too high tech. 40K is a fin contradiction in terms. Dark and gritty, with an overwhelming dark ages feeling and yet....we have fantastical ships and vehicles, power armour, etc.

But as I said earlier, I can see your point about them looking too high tech. OTOH....I may just do it anyway.

For a while I used converted Heavy Infantry as Inquisitorial Stormtroopers-- however, IMO they wouldn't really work too well for regular Guardsmen, especially given their costs and lack of posability.
