This is sort of a gun line with mobile elements. Lots of high strength shots and a good amount of bodies and armor saturation. I think it should do quite well. What do you guys think. Comments and opinions please.

HQ
Rune priest - living lighting, murderous hurricane (rides with 8 man grey hunter pack)

Troops
8 man Grey Hunter Pack - meltagun, mark of the wolfin, wolf standard, rhino
9 man Grey Hunter Pack - meltagun, mark of the wolfin, wolf standard, rhino
5 man Grey Hunter Pack - flamer, las/plas razorback

Fast Attack
Land Speeder Typhoon
Land Speeder Typhoon
2x Land Speeder Tornados - multimelta, heavy flamer

Elites
5 man Wolf Scouts Pack - meltagun
3 man Wolf Guard Pack - 3x combi-meltas, 2x powerfists (lone combi-melta goes with scouts, fist/combis go with 8 and 9 man grey hunter packs)

Heavy Support
5 man Long Fangs Pack - 4x missile launchers
5 man Long Fangs Pack - 4x missile launchers
Predator - autocannon, las cannon sponsoons

I have a lot of redundancy so the loss of one or two types of units would not cause me much consern.

By the looks of your list you used to play asartes. Land Speeders in SW are not good, especially squads of two. Take a Lone Wolf. Ditch the pred get some more long fangs. Never take flamers on Grey hunters unless you put them with RP(if enemy dont have frags they strike at I1. Your other troops and elites look solid though

SCOUTS FTW you dont dis them

Thanks for your response. I have played codex marines in the past as well as other armies. My main armies now are space wolves and orks. And no I am not a band wagoner. I have played space wolves since the end of 2ed edition. I disagree about the land speeder opinion. I think they add much needed speed to a wolves list. Typhoons have good firepower and can flat out to contest an objective on the last turn. The tornados provide some fast melta that is very nice to have. The predator I will consider swaping out for long fangs. But I like how it adds to armor saturation. Also if you need it to move and shoot. (even just 2 str 7 shots) the pred can do it and the long fangs can not.

Personally, I'd prefer another pack of Grey Hunters in a Rhino over a Predator.

With that said, drop it, combine it with the Razorback squad and have a nice fuller squad...I'd say 7 hunters with Mark and standard, you should have some points for another Wolf Guard with CM/PF and grab a PF for the lone wolf guard.

Anything leftover just toss into wargear.

That's how I'd do it.

Land Speeders are just fine in Space Wolves lists, if not quite as efficient as those in the Vanilla Codex, and only because you cannot take 3x Typhoons per squad. That said I'd keep the Typhoons and drop the Tornadoes, then use the points to buy LasPlas Razorbacks for your Long Fangs. They are a little more durable and offer more ranged firepower, which seems to be the focus of this list. The Razorbacks also increase your mobility for Dawn of War deployment which is a nice benefit.

If you need a few extra points to fit the Razorbacks, you can drop one Grey Hunter from the 9 man pack. One more body won't make THAT much of a difference, and that would also give you enough points to give the 5 man pack a Meltagun.

This list actually looks a lot like the ones I design, and I have played something very close to this a few times with great success.

Good luck!
