evening all.
just a quick question, currently working on a unit of chaos warhounds. the plan is to have a unit of 8, four in the front rank and then in the back rank have two unit fillers of two warriors holding hounds on a leash, now my question is to represent the four in the back rank does there have to be four hounds or can i have two, one for each handler and that still count as four models.
hope that makes sense!

I wouldnt have an issue with it, and I doubt most people would if the conversion is done well.

Unit fillers normally add quite a bit to a unit aesthetically.

I would allways have two on each base or have the warriors ridng one or just say to your oppionet that is uinit of 8 not 6.Hope this helps I don't reallt play warhammer (just 40k for me!).Also no offence but, the questen is a bit compicated and I had to read it about 2 times. But saying that I have really bad spelling and gramer!

If you're up to the task, you could put the warriors and their hounds on separate bases.
If the "leash" is a solid piece of plastic, just don't glue one end so the two models only look like they're connected.
Otherwise, you could use some jewelry chain and a little drill-action to magnetize the hounds' collars.

I'm currently converting War Hounds into Giant Rats; I just saw them in two, sculpt some fur over, and glue each half onto a 20mm base.

again this i my probelm if I only take one loss, i have spare warghounds so i don't supose it'll be a problem. i tihnk im just going to go with the original idea and put two on one base with the warrior. i can always blue tac it and see what it looks like, ill get a pic up when ive done it so you can see for yourselves and make the call

this shouldn't be an issue. If you take one loss, just pull a loose dog and then when you take a second loss, pull one with a warrior and put the other back so after 2 wounds, you've removed a warrior/dog
