I am in work tomorrow number crunching and then trying to make our new template website presentable as a webshop (fat chance).

So whilst I will be in work I am well aware that lots of the country will be pretending to celebrate the joyous union of the only son of Prince Charles to a young girl called Kate.

Are other Dakka users having to work or have your bosses fallen for the spurious celebratory day off?

Yes I am slightly bitter, my wife and kids are using this as an excuse to have a little picnic/party tomorrow they have lots of cake and fizzy drinks at the ready!

No.

Making Tau terrain and Tyranids is my plan for tomorrow.

Plus some drinking in honour of the happy couple.

I aim to get the jigsaw work done before the drinking begins.

Me neither, long weekend of looking after baby and trying to paint IG for next weekend started a few hours ago.

As if to rub it in for you Mr. Burning my Mrs (who doesn't usually work on a friday), is being given an extra day off in leiu. The benefits of being a unionised civil servant I suppose?

I shall be alternating between singing choruses of The Red Flag and reading a biography of Oliver Cromwell.

The downside for me of this extra bank holiday to celebrate the impending divorce of another royal couple (I give it 5 years...) is that Saturday at work will be Friday's work plus Saturdays. Hoopla.

I almost always agree with Albatross, I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

Okay, so the male version of "Cougar" is now officially "Albatross".

Most shops were open yesterday, Canterbury street were full (although this was after the wedding, during which i had been drinking, so maybe shouldn't have gone out ). So a lot of people wouldn't have had a day off.

I would have actually rather had my lecture, and the wedding happening today, but for some reason, a Friday wedding was more important

(And i was painting, see my new P&M Blog, its only got 1 comment )

Case in point, right here. Since it was a bank holiday, I got a day in lieu and overtime though, so no complaints here. I'm in favour of having a bank holiday every year, to commemorate it. Yeah...
