Hey guys,
Long time user (wink wink) first time poster. I'm currently in the process of creating a 53 model all infantry Blood Angel list, and because I'm like this, it needs it's own special travelling case! I'm looking to get a 'smaller than the standard gw size case.' (or, in some cases, similar sized) Pretty interested in the KR multicase small sized aluminium case, but the Pack C4 is also on the cards. Has anyone had any experience with Feldherr (ridiculous shipping costs that would force me to buy it from somewhere like totalwargamer.co.uk rather than Feldherr direct aside) cases? Specifically the 'medium' (eg GW sized I guess) case. Just looking for anyone who's had experience with these particular cases (or brands).
Cheers,
Mrzippo

Feldherr cases don't seem to get mentioned much.
You might want to change the thread title to reflect your enquiry, there's been several miniatures cases threads lately.

I got hands-on with a few Feldherr cases at Salute. They're definitely good quality, but I think I'd be inclined to spend just a little more and get a Battlefoam case.
Having said that, I seem to recall that the Ancible magazine (the-ancible.co.uk, I think) did a review of Feldherr's medium case in one of their early issues.

The best bag I see on feldherr range is the backpack one, the design is brilliant and very discreet and much more practical than the conventional army bags. On a beastsofwar videos covering the salute event Romeo also hinted that battlefoam was also working on a backpack ( the smartest option for people that dont like to drive car everywere and use public transports on the city)
I have handled a small bag from feldherr and the design is robust and very good also... good stuff.

KR do small metal cases. About the cheapest you will get, good quality too, well worth a look.

Kind of unrelated, but for the past age I have been using tupperware boxes, and I'm too skint/a cheap git to pay for a decent case
However today I bagged this baby off of ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemVersion&item=110678427400&view=all&tid=0
I know they are old, but these cost approx £60 brand new
And what's this? 10 metal SoB and canoness, plus 5 marines and 2 IG lascannon teams!
The minis should easily sell for more than the cost of some new foam from KR multicases to replace the pick&pluck
RESULT! /gloat
Everyone I have spoken to recommends KR, and those with more money than sense recommend battlefoam. Although a lot of people have had good success making their own from spare toolboxes + foam and a decent set of very sharp utility knives.

Battlefoam without a doubt are the best. You can go onto thier website and design your own case. Custom made foam cases just for you. Its good quality stuff too....just google them dude!
Ok they can be quite pricey but the fact that are designed around your specific army is just sweet.
No more broken mini's ever!

Correction, you can design your own form trays, not your case
If battlefoam can design the case, I would be rushing over to them to make mine

Trays, not cases, because the bag is called "foam case"
