Hey all,

I'm just looking for some input on my 2000 point Marine list. For about the past month, I've been fielding my Dark Eldar and Necrons instead of this army. I'm not entirely sure why, but I'm just not very excited about it recently.

Space Marines - 2000
Librarian - Null Zone, Avenger
5 Terminators - 5 Thunder Hammer & Storm Shields, Land Raider with Multi-Melta & Extra Armor
Dreadnought - 2 Twin-linked Autocannons
Dreadnought - 2 Twin-linked Autocannons
5 Tactical Marines - Razorback with Lascannon & Twin-linked Plasmagun
5 Tactical Marines - Razorback with Lascannon & Twin-linked Plasmagun
5 Tactical Marines - Razorback with Twin-linked Assault Cannon
5 Tactical Marines - Razorback with Twin-linked Assault Cannon
Attack Bike - Multi-Melta
Attack Bike - Multi-Melta
Attack Bike - Multi-Melta
Predator - Autocannon, Lascannon Sponsons
Predator - Autocannon, Lascannon Sponsons
Predator - Autocannon, Lascannon Sponsons
Total - 1995

It seems my dice have abandoned my Predators. Other than that, the army performs fairly well. I think the lack of speed is a major factor in my lack of enthusiasm for fielding it.

Thoughts?

Well I can't find anything to say. Maybe you could get a crusader instead of a normal land raider. Seeing as you already have loads of anti tank, might as well boost the anti-infantry for your infantry killing transport unit.

I like to imagine the Emperor kills so many Orks that he ends up half buried beneath a pile of corpses, with only his head sticking out. A lone grot stumbles across him, and starts choking him.

Then Horus comes across the lone grot, somehow managing to kill the Emperor, and punts it into space.

With a little bit of tweaking, and the purchase of 2 Baal Predators, I could run the list as Blood Angels on the fly. The speed intrigues me above all. I've always had a thing for Baals too.

Blood Angels - 2000
Librarian - Unleash Rage, Shield of Sanguinius
5 Terminators - Thunder Hammers & Storm Shields, Land Raider with Multi-Melta & Extra Armor
5 Assault Marines - Meltagun, Razorback with Lascannon & Twin-linked Plasmagun
5 Assault Marines - Meltagun, Razorback with Lascannon & Twin-linked Plasmagun
5 Assault Marines - Meltagun, Razorback with Twin-linked Assault Cannon
5 Assault Marines - Meltagun, Razorback with Twin-linked Assault Cannon
Baal Predator - Twin-linked Assault Cannon, Heavy Bolter Sponsons
Baal Predator - Twin-linked Assault Cannon, Heavy Bolter Sponsons
Predator - Autocannon, Lascannon Sponsons
Predator - Autocannon, Lascannon Sponsons
Predator - Autocannon, Lascannon Sponsons
Total - 1955

I really have no idea how to spend the last 45 points.

Definitely go Blood Angels, but replace the Land Raider with a Redeemer, and use the extra points to take a Sanguinary Priest to ride with the Terminators.

Otherwise the list looks great.

Good to see you, Aldarionn!

I really prefer regular Land Raiders to Redeemers. However, I am ashamed to say I forgot the BA Land Raider only holds 10 Marines. I'm thinking this could work fairly well:

Blood Angels - 2000
Librarian - Fear of the Darkness, Shield of Sanguinius
Sanguinary Priest - Combi-Melta
5 Terminators - Thunder Hammers & Storm Shields, Land Raider with Multi-Melta & Extra Armor
5 Assault Marines - Meltagun, Razorback with Lascannon & Twin-linked Plasmagun
5 Assault Marines - Meltagun, Razorback with Lascannon & Twin-linked Plasmagun
5 Assault Marines - Meltagun, Razorback with Twin-linked Assault Cannon
5 Assault Marines - Meltagun, Razorback with Twin-linked Assault Cannon
Baal Predator - Twin-linked Assault Cannon, Heavy Bolter Sponsons
Baal Predator - Twin-linked Assault Cannon, Heavy Bolter Sponsons
Predator - Autocannon, Lascannon Sponsons
Predator - Autocannon, Lascannon Sponsons
Dreadnought - 2 Twin-linked Autocannons
Total - 2000

In order to field this, I would have to build a Priest, buy one Baal Predator, get the turret for another, and assemble those HB sponsons I have laying around here somewhere. All of my vehicles weapons are removable and the sponsons are all magnetized. I actually have 20ish Chainsword / Bolt Pistol Marines laying around as I nearly started Black Templars at one point. Plus, this list gets my beloved DakkaDreads on the field. The Librarian and Priest would each ride in one of the Razorbacks. I realize the Priest would be best-suited in the Land Raider.

Thoughts?
