Subject: Guess the order of the new codexes

Often seeing rumors and guesses at what codex will be replaced when. Just wondering what you all think. Here is my guestimate:
Assuming the alternating imperium and Xenos range:
I will guess by age.
Last Codex: Grey Knights 2Q11
Next : Tau 3Q11
Next : Black Templars 4Q11
Next: Necrons 1Q12
Next: Witch Hunters (Sisters)2Q12
Next: Orcs 3Q12
Next: Dark Angels 4Q12
1.Tau and necrons by age and rules most in need of a redo but which is next is a toss up. I am just guessing the Tau.
2. While the BT don't need a codex, the sisters are going to be a major plastic kit redo so I suspect they will tweak the BT first and buy themselves 6 to 8 months to get it right.
3. Orcs are probably the 3rd Xenos in line for an update. While they are competitive I can see this needing some tweaking. Albeit, I could see Chaos Space Marines getting in there.
4.Finally Dark Angels, while the deathwing is viable today the rest of that codex is so much crap that I am starting to think that the dark angel 1st company is the only company that ever sees the field.
As I said the anticipation of 6th edition is the monkey wrench that could be thrown in there, This almost automacally means release of new edition and updated Space Marines codex, do the scheduled xenos and then update imperial guard codex. So if they release 6th Edition about 2nd quarter of 2012, I would say then expect Space Marines, Orcs and Imperial Guard while the sisters and dark angels will sit for another year.

Imho Chaos will be split up into 4 Codeci; each dedicated to one of the Gods with unique units for each Army (no more mixing Gifts and units).
There will be a standard troop model (legs, body, arms, back pack) with a unique 'accessory sprue' of weapons, heads, shoulderpads, and icons to match the specific Dex.
Abbadon will be a standard IC in each Dex, costing on the order of Calgar. However, taking Abbadon will allow allied forces from the other Codeci to be taken in limited numbers.
And then I woke up.

From all the floating rumors it sounds like.
the next 3 books will be Necrons, Tau and Black templars.
as for order.. it will be necrons or tau then BT then the other.
Sisters will be next year, as there are many rumors of having issues with the mold not working, along with many rumors that BT models are already complete and ready to go.

It's a well known fact that GW has a hard on for Orks. Space Marines may make the money, but Orks are the favorite aesthetic GW has. I would not at all be suprised to see Orks get a new codex before Eldar, and possibly CSM.

And I agree, if GW does have a second poster child, it's Orks.
Even if it IS a red headed step poster child.

I wouldn't want Orks to get a new book any time soon, at least not until everybody else got updated. Their codex is great, and it's one of the best army lists for fluff and competitive reasons. I honestly wouldn't be disappointed if Orks didn't get a new codex for a long time. I just bet with GW's current "giant monster per release" policy they could get a pretty sweet Squiggoth model!

I'm thinking (and hoping) Necrons are next, and judgeng by the amount of rumors floating around that point, this seems to be the case.
I'd say

That should be enough to cover the next 2-3 years, lol.

Though I do love my Orkz.... they can indeed wait for their new dex!
The Necrons, Tau, and Sisters of Battle need an upgrade ASAP! Followed closely by the Templars & Dark Angels.... Preferably all in that order!
...and (dare i open this can of worms) do we really need a 6th edition?!
