I'm participating in a Badab campaign using my Dark Eldar. I'm looking at starting my first round with a 1000 point list. Before I start, which units would be better suited for facing MEQ armies including SoB and DH? I also need to prepair for that stupid Drago/Paladin cheezefest.

My problem is that I have no models to represent the fliers so my mobility is limited to Bikes, Hellions, or Scourges (and only 10 of the Scourges) and up to six Raiders/Ravagers total. I have plenty of the plastic infantry stuff though as well as two of the old Talos.

Suggestions and advice are appreciated.

Stay away from the Talos, it will never get close to the enemy without a WWP.

Like most others, I normally take 3 Ravagers with dark lances. If you know you're going to face a lot of MEQ infantry, try the ravagers with 1 dark lance and 2 disintegrators, night shields, and flicker fields. That way you still have anti armor but also lots of ap2 goodness to spread the field with. Night shields can be great against SOB and DH - their short weapon ranges are shortened even more.

having lots of kabal warriros is one thing, to make them truely useful you need lots of blasters. From my 3rd edition DE army i had about 60 warriors painted(with another 20 in another scheme) up but i only had 4 blasters. My current 5th edition shooty kabal runs 17 blasters on kabalite warriors in 1750pts. those 17 blasters are only carried by 38 models though. Obviously I needed some time, money and conversion work to get to 17.

in contrast my old DE list sometimes made use of 10 DE armed warriors and 8SC armed warriors. Those guys are sitting on the shelf now
