Hello Dakka!

My FLGS is running an escalation league and I have come up with the following list for this weeks game:

HQ:

Libby w/ JP
SoS and UR

Elite:

Sang Priest x2 w/ JP's

Troop:

Assault Squad x10 w/ 2x Melta, PF

Assault Squad x5 w/ Melta, PF

Fast Attack:

Land Speeder w/ HF

Land Speeder w/ HF

5 points left over.....

I know the Land Speeders are not ideal, but the plan was to get close to a unit flame the snot out of them and then charge the remaining unit with an assault squad. However, all of my opponents AT will be focusing on the two speeders.

What do you all suggest?

Drop speeders fill out the second assault squad.
And give the libs squad a th rather than a pf

I think cowpow nailed it here. It's tough at low points, since there are so few options. I really don't like the Speeders here, as they will get to shoot once at most. I'd hate to face a mech IG army with them. Given that you could get 5 more Assault Marines and 1 more meltagun into the list by dropping them, I'd say it's a clear improvement.

Besides, you really don't want to mix vehicles and Jump Infantry.

You might get away with a razor list maybe haven't crunched the numbers but you might be able to whip up something nasty.
But this list is fun

How about using bikes to the mix instead of speeders? They could move right after your DoA comes down and turbo-boost in front of them, having a 3+ cover save themselves and providing a 4+ cover save for the marines they shield.

Just a funny idea, though
