Hey guys. This was a pretty brutal game between a Nob Biker/Green Tide hybrid list and Grey Knights. Hope you enjoy!

Orks are going to have a tough time against the new knights. Grey Knights just match up well against them. I foresee more boomguns and kilkannons against the knights, especially if they're on foot. Nobs just don't fare too well against insta-killing force weapons.

Also, Lootas. Lootas can outrange most of the GK shooting and can get rid of some of their mobility, allowing the Orks to pick their battles.

But a Nob unit should have Cybork bodies so an invulnerable save of 5+ should help and should always be taken. Orks could potentially out shoot the GK despite their 2BS. A BW spam or kan wall can still be very competitive I find.

Thanks for all the comments guys. We had a blast playing this game. I was really excited to play the new Grey Knights and I'm even more excited for the rematch.

This has to be the most fun game i have ever played. Bad_Sheep is excellent with his Orks, and watching him play such close games week after week i knew i had my work cut out for me. It was my first tabled victory ever, which has me even still so very excited. I am very sure there will be a rematch, maybe same list, maybe no. Well see what happens in the future.

Yeah, what is up with that? That isn't normal!

lol, so am i the only one to play normal sized....er..full sized squads? Just because they are Grey knights i still feel 10 is much better then 5, unless those 5 are maybe interceptors and only there to distract -shrugs- but that's just me.

No you are not the only one. I take full sized squads as well, but you just see so many lists with people spamming 5-man squads as if that is a good idea, and the only way to play them.

It's perfectly fine; it's how I'll be running mine, anyways. It's just that, as Blackmoor says, there's so many battle reports where only MSUs are used that to see an army do the opposite feels like a rarity.

Well smitty, your welcome to fly on over to our shop and i can play you as well? I am no super player, i was and am excited for my first victory of that style. Just because i have grey knights does not mean i get a insta win. And orks could easily beat the GK's as i have both armies. But hey, thanks anyhow for watching and the comment's, no matter how they were meant.

yea well based on this responce I retract my statement, grats on the win and GL with Grey Knights and company!

What weapons did you shoot at the first biker squad?

A ton of assault cannons.... It was truly brutal. After that first turn of him taking out half my biker squad, I was pretty scared. Not to mention Purifies took them out pretty damn quick.

8 psycannons and 4 autocannons w/ psyammo. not to mention the flying chicken of doom. TL assualt cannons /TL multi melta TL hurricane bolters

Neat game and good report. It's easy to follow what's going on and doesn't waste time with idle banter.

I agree with the maxed squads. They allow you the same amount of special weapons but also make psyammo much more worth it. If you want 5man units, just combat squad. The only times I think smaller squads are necessary are when you don't have enough points or if you can't meet the basic troops FOC requirements with full squads.
