Was thinking of the idea that GW could bring squats back by having them join the Tau. With Tau expanding as they are they could've come across and planet or 2 that still had them living on.

Floating the idea out there. this way Squats could come back, maybe not a full army that they once were but still they would be there!

I would rather see them with their own army!

They won't be back, ever, but we will get the Deminurg, or however you spell that, for the Tau, maybe as actual 40K field-able models at some point even. They're already in BFG

There's rumor of Demiurg (Squats by another name really) showing up in the next Tau codex. It's an entertaining idea. I like Squats since I just love 2nd ed/RT stuff in general.

Indeed, if the rumours are to be believed they will come back in a new guise with the next Tau codex. However, I think it is impossible to believe they will come back in their original concept. They fitted the 1st edition/early 2nd edition style of the game, a long time has passed and a lot of changes have been made to the style of 40k since then.

I remember back on the GW forums that any mention of Squats was immediately deleted and IIRC resulted in a banning from the boards. That should happen here.

I would love to see them back but its never gonna happen. If your missing them just do what our gaming group has done, go back to 2nd edition. Its more fun anyway.
