My first conversion.
A simply Hydra

Parts: IG Chimera, Aeges defence line.
Steps: (1) fully assemble Quad gun, (2) complete step 1&2 of the chimera, (3) attach Quad gun to rear of Chimera, (4) add detail.

If it's your first kitbash, it's not bad. It Llooks much like a half-dozen other conversions using the same parts. I have the same problems with it as all of those, too.

The gun sits too proud of the tank. The height compared to the length makes it look cartoonish. VERY cartoonish.
There are ways to fix it, but all require a bit more than glue these bits to those bits.

It would probably help to either post those pictures, or link to your gallery.

In my opinion, if you want to fix that (and with "that" I mean all Defense Line + Chimera kitbashs) you might as well get other parts in the first place. Then again, I'm a fan of the proper turret and long barrels Hydra.

Close. You need to use the [ img ] [ / img ] tags around it to get it to put the picture there. That's just the URL link.

EDIT: can you see the pic because i cant.

It could do with something between to front hatches and the flak battery to make the guns look like there not just jutting out of the tank's top as much. Perhaps a small blast shield (like the ones that the Quantum Gothic Rocket Launcher's have), or just a large pair of vents could work. Other than that it looks alright as a tank for a prim regiment like the Cadians, but personally I'd add a load of stowage to the sides and above the tracks as well as some mud to make it appear a little more war worthy. ^^

I was thinking of putting one of the single aeges defence line walls on the tank but it just didn't look right (to big). I am plaining on using them in a salamander conversion someday.

Looking good. Longer barrels would look cooler, though hard to do.

I see the problem. You are trying to image link to a URL (the .html gives it away) instead of the picture. You need to get the address that includes the .jpg extension and put IT inside the tags.

What do you think of the camo. Im a little uncertain about it.

I like the camo, but it doesn't seem consistent across the model, touch it up a little and it would look great! May I ask what regiment it is for?

Its a made up regiment, sort of marsh-land camo.

I backed off on the camo because i thought a AA gun would'nt need much camo to protect it against enamy planes, they wont be their long enough to report it's position.
