Hey all, i've recently decided to play a World Eaters army with the BA codex. But no, i don't intend to deep strike land raiders, or use mephiston, or Flying Dreadnoughts or any nonsense like that. I intend to go with a pure DC list with the exception of one unit. Now my only concern with this list is: Can it Kill really, really, really, really fast?

HQ: Gladiator Lord Cruor Securis(Astorath Counts as) - 220 Points

Elites: Devotee of The Blood God(Priest): Power Weapon, Melta bombs - 70 points

Troops: Scarlet Tragedy(DC dreadnought): Blood Talons, Drop Pod - 160 points

The Gore Drinkers(DC): 9 Marines, Thunder Hammer, Infernus Pistol, Power Weapon, Drop Pod - 275 points

Vein Splitters(DC): 9 Marines, Thunder Hammer, Infernus Pistol, Power Weapon, Drop Pod - 275 Points

Securis Mounts up with the Gore Drinkers, and the Devotee with the Vein Splitters and everyone smashes into the enemy. My only concern is that i will land too far away from a shooty enemy, or land to close to an assaulty enemy and that they will tear me to shreds the minute i step out of the pods. Should i drop the power weapon in each DC squad and take rhinos(less fluffy) or just drop the priest for a Predator? Also, as i said before, no scoring units, so the only time i would use this is if i think i could table the enemy fast enough, if its annihilation, or if im paired up with my chaos buddy in a doubles game. Any and all C&C is apreaciated. Also, i feel derp right now, but can Sanguinary priests join squads, are they ICs?

The priest is not worth the hassle as death company already have feel no pain and furious charge. Maybe drop the priest and 2 DC men to have a librarian with an infernus pistol.
Not sure that it is the best way to go with the list as they are foot slogging with rage in the majority, it makes the army very easy to keep chasing the nearest enemy with could be a fast moving tank or something useless.

They will hurt whatever they can touch, that's for sure, but you need to find a way to make sure that they have some means of closing with your opponent fast or you won't even make it into combat. Eldar or Dark Eldar, not to mention tau will float around you killing willy nilly while your guys run in circles.

They're World Eaters. They eat pyskers for breakfast . But i think i might drop the priest for a pred or more power weapon in my DC.

Hate to be a buzzkill, but this army might not kill much of anything at all. You have an army completely comprised of models that move 6", assault 6", and you can't control where they move. Against a meched up opponent, you might literally kill nothing the entire game, as you may be kept out of assault range.

Yes, I realize this. The whole point of this list is for when i play doubles with my chaos buddy. And i would play single games or skirmishes with it just for fun, i could drop the priest and pick up a scout squad, cultists perhaps?

I don't want anything too close to competitive anyway, as to stay away from the notion that im playing World Eaters but using the BA codex just to cheese out. Im using it, because i feel DC and the red thirst represent Khorne Berserkers much better then the Chaos Dex does.

Plus, when life gives you lemons, BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! Right?

Exactly. I don't plan on winning many games on the actual objective, but a moral victory, setting a goal for the number of model i must kill.

I dont see this as effective or fun sorry to say fun is when you do silly things like making a silly squad and watch it eat things.

Or sick mephi on things and then have him kill vulkan and friends thats always fun or just silly army lists but this is such a slow army and thats a lil boring

Boring, sure. Ineffective, sure. But the whole idea of this is for myself to have fun with it, right? I could care less if i win or loose, or move slow, im trying to create a fluffy list for World Eaters(granted im using BA codex, but just for the DC) because i DC represents Berserker's so much better then the actual Chaos Codex. All im looking for is a little bit of change, like dropping the priest, and the infernus pistols so i can field a Chaplain, or maybe a different load out for the squads.

The fact you'd use a loyalist codex on the great marines of chaos is a bit disgraceful, but man if you're making this list to have fun slaughtering some infedels with your friends, go for it. As long as you're just doing fun stuff with your friends I say just keep doing what you think would be fun, and if you know their armys and massive assault works then who is anyone on all of Dakka to tell you otherwise.
