Can someone please explain to me the point of the Beat this unit thread?

I'm genuinely puzzled as I fail to see the point of it; you simply state something that's a good counter to something else someone posted? That's basically rock-paper-scissors, except you know what you're up against. I really don't see what it achieves other than buffing peoples post count?

I am honestly confused as to the purpose of the thread/what it achieves, we know that Heavy Flamer land speeders can take out scouts or that a LRBT will wreck a squad of tactical marines, so I don't see why we need a thread to demonstrate this?

I don't mean to be offensive or criticise the creator of said thread, but I'm genuinely confused as to what it achieves?

I would reply to every single post with "Leman Russ Demolisher" but I don't have the time.

Its allmost to help newer players with their tactics, perhaps its helps them learn what really works in game.

It's a sort of game, you simply challenge yourself to come up with a counter to the previous unit. There's no purpouse other than to have fun.

Right, its just a game... though recently its grown repetetive... also, it is a slight lesson in tactics, and flaming. And trolling.

Repeated Hydra tank spam made me give it up, there's no point trying to counter such things as that.

It's just a game, I gave up cause it just became an endless circle of a few competitive units.

Marbo kills everything, including that thread.
