Hey,

Here is a GK list I've been thinking of, any help will be loved! (EDITED, LIST TWO UP NOW)

Hq:
Corteaz - 100
Brother Captain w/rad grenades - 165

Elites:
Vindicare -145
Tech marine with con. beamer - 110

Troops:
3 warriors w/melta, crusader, chimera - 112
3 warriors w/melta, crusader, chimera - 112
3 warriors w/melta, crusader, chimera - 112

5 term , incenerator, 2 halberds, MC daemonhammer - 210
5 term , psycannon, 2 halberds, MC daemonhammer - 230

5 Strike squad, psycannon, razorback with psybolt ammo-160

Heavy:
Landraider, psybolt - 260
Redeemer, psybolt - 250

Total: 1966 points. (This gives me 34 points to spend, I don't know where!)

alternatively I could take out the brother captain, and a termie squad with incenerator which will give me 375 more points and use that with the 34 extra points to add in:

Mordrak-200
6 ghost knights, 2 halberds, MC demonhammer, incenerator-207

This would make the total army points: 1993 points.
I would be iffy about taking out the second landraider though I don't have anything in it only because one land raider can get wrecked up pretty fast, while two lowers my opponent's ability to deal with them since they have to divide their fire or focus on one leaving the other unharmed. If i was going to take one out I would add in some DakkaDreds.

What does anyone think?

There's no sense in taking a Libby with no additional powers especially warp rift and maybe quicksilver

Terminators are a nice asset to provide objective camping but are point sinks that don't provide alot of use especially without halberds

Aggro is a problem is an issue for Terminators, before you know it your 450+ unit (including the raider) is reduced to slag from Melta and dakka holes

Liking the henchmen they're finely equipped

A tech-marine if nesscary should ways take servo skulls

If I had to recommend an alternative it would be a grand master with rads and servo skulls

He would be stuck with henches an easy fix

Strike squads with psycannons and a razor back with psyammo is begging for use

I recommend more strike squads

A Vindicare IMO is a fantastic asset for tank, anti-character, problem solving

Worth his points

There are several things I'd suggest with this list.

First a naked libbie isn't very effective. Without spending to buy other psychic powers at least your better off going with a brother captain for the points.

On five man term squads a warding staff probably isn't worth the points. I'd drop those and one of the hammers on each squad and pick up a couple of halberds for the init bonus and diversification.

The one naked warrior in each henchmen unit is just being a bullet stopper so you might pull them and use those points elsewhere.

My suggestions keeping mostly with what you have:

Hq:
Corteaz - 100
Brother Captain w/rad grenades - 165

Elites:
Vindicare -145
Tech marine with con. beamer - 110

Troops:
4 warriors w/melta, crusader, chimera - 126
4 warriors w/melta, crusader, chimera - 126
4 warriors w/melta, crusader, chimera - 126

5 term , incenerator, 2 halberds, MC daemonhammer - 210
5 term , psycannon, 2 halberds, MC daemonhammer - 230

Fast:
5 Interceptor Squad, psycannon, 2 halberd - 150

Landraider, psybolt - 260
Redeemer, psybolt - 250

Grand total of 1998 and within the spirit of what you were doing. If you want you can swap back to the libby and use the 15 points from the grenades and pick up three powers.

Hey there.

Your Librarian doesn't have any psychic powers. What is his purpose?
Strike squad has teleporters? I guess your using the old leaded codex as reference. Strike squad doesn't have personal teleporters or the option to have them.
They are now days called Interceptors and are FAST ATTACK choice.

You do have some vehicles, but your models count is really low still. And the models are really weak, the warriors that is.
A decent list at these points will have plenty meltaguns or similar.
The landraiders will be though to take down though.

Your librarian confuses me. With that setup he only has hammerhand. I uh... I don't know what to say other than don't do it. He needs other powers. These powers are dependant on what role you want him to have. He has several good ones.

I guess I can't say much more than the first guy. He nailed it pretty good IMO.

The only thing I can add I think is that this list has units that can take psycannons and yet has a serious lack of them. Psycannons are one of the best weapons in the game. Take them where ever you can.

You can drop both termie squads and field purifiers or tons more strike squads. Both options in my opinion are better.

Redeemer should have psycannon ammo. Only 5 points and it allows it to kill much much better. Also you might want to consider a crusader with psybolt ammo instead. Supper killy.

Just to make sure we're clear, strike squads with teleporters are fast attack. You have them listed under troop and I wanna make sure you know that. On that note, 5 dudes jumping around the map will get deaded. Consider increasing their size.

@Drachenhohle: I like the list you posted there it fits together almost exactly with what I had in mind.

@everybody: On the libbie, I wrote this list out late night and hadn't really thought up what powers he should have. I wasn't thinking of him only having hammerhand! haha.

Yes I was using the old leaked codex haha, I was pretty sure it was a fast attack choice but not too sure about it so juts used what I saw in the book I had.

I have been looking at having an army of purifiers or strike squads, but I really want to have an army with few marines. So termies seemed to do the bill, I was also thinking of doing the same list really just instead of termies having more teleporters, and a dreadknight with teleporter. but i thought it wouldn't last long and the teleporters may be way too quick for my other units.

Two questions really:
If I use a libbie what powers should I take?

And Two: would it be better to drop the teleporters, and maybe some other units to find points for Strike squads with psycannons and a razor back with psyammo?

Thanks again!

If you must take Terminators for your list then the libraian should be taking shrouding for sure

If your taking halberds on the terminators then quicksilver isn't as nesscary

A power I highly recommend is warp rift a shooting power that isn't like anything in the game. Enough said

And it's not like you have to choose which to take you can simplyly buy additional powers if I'm not mistaken

If your leaning to purifiers and strike squads then shrouding for sure

You can get away with hammerhand in purifiers and strike squads but I recommend an additional power just in case

Hope this helps

To add an additional response about your second question i would take strikes with a psycannon and a razorback with psyammo

If I'm adding right it comes out under 200 points maybe 165 maximum

I don't have a codex in front of me so an assist would be welcomed

5 GKSS, psycannon, razorback w/ psybolt ammo: 160. So yeah, not too far off of the 150 for your GKIS.

Libbie: In your list I'd probably take shrouding, warp rift or vortex (whichever you prefer as they fill the same function), and maybe might of the titans. S7 termies are pretty awesome. If there's daemons in your area, consider Dark Excomunication too.

Lost in the Warp....

Has nobody brought up that you can only take 3 meltas per squad. I would drop bothland raiders and interceptors. Take 3 Dreadnoughts with x2 TL-Autocannons with Psi-ammo. get 3 strike squads in razorbacks with psi ammo. For elites take the assassin. Also with that take 2 purifiers x2 Psycannons in a rhino (the rhino so they can shoot out the hatch.) As much as I love the librarian those terminators cannot survive well with out thunderhammers what I would recommend is ghost knights and mordrak drop down turn 1 into cover for a 3+ cover

Same list, different army

Ty for pointing that out necronsftw

I can't believe I didn't see that lol

I have to disagree that termianors need 1 hammer and the rest halberds to survive unless specified otherwise

I'm not 100% certain what you meant

Can't take 4 Meltas in a single unit of Henchmen.

Didn't realize couldn't take 4 meltas per a squad! Will fix that and put in my fixed list up at the front!

I don't know how comfortable I am with just deep striking termies, i think they need the landraiders to survive. The ghost knights are different due to their stealth but they just seem really expensive, since the HQ alone would cost up to 300. If i use paladins, each unit ends up being 40 more points about for one less marine.

Ghost knights are a little cheaper then reg. termies thou, so maybe it would be worthwhile.

I'll throw up my new list now.

updated my list, I forgot ghost knights need Mordrak who isn't too expensive. I may want to use them but am unsure about them at the moment.

Can't believe I missed that on the warriors. Could throw in a servitor w/ multi melta in each chimera to make up the loss. That is of course if you don't go with the ghost knights.

Stick them all in same chimera with Corteaz. Have them and 2 if the warriors fire when stationary then just the warriors when moving. That will make that chimera a tasty target though.

Hey, if they are firing at the chimera they aren't firing at the land raiders
