No offence but that is a very bad list.
For starters one Meltagun can take out half your list.
Take a KFF mek a Boomgun 30 Boyz and two Kanz.
Thats a tried and tested list I've only lost once and that was because of some dammed harliquins and their shooting rule.

11 boyz are dead in 1 turn
battlewagon similar (assuming opponent has anti-tank weapons, which in current meta is guaranteed)
2 turns, your tabled.
Orks do not work in small numbers, what you need are hordes that can overwhelm the opponent with sheer weight of numbers. If fact, at low points levels (e.g. 500) orks are generally better than other forces due to the sheer number of cheap troops we can put on the table compared to the number of guns they can shoot with.
Look at the following example list I whipped up (bigging up the battlescribe android app!) for a typical hordey-type list
HQ
Big Mek : KFF,Burna, CB - 115pts
TROOPS
15x Shootas
Nob, PK -125pts
15x Shootas
Nob, PK -125pts
FAST ATTACK
10x Stormboyz
Nob, Big Choppa - 135 pts
500pts on the nose.
You've got 40 bodies there, only IG and 'nids can put similar numbers on the table.
Attach the big mek to a boyz mob, keep both mobs in that 5+ cover bubble all the way up the field, they are walking and shooting, pumping out 60 shots a turn, once they are up in your opponent's grill you start hacking them apart with the PKs and burna (read 'power weapon'). The stormboyz go for an early assault (i.e. turn 1/2) with their better movement to start wailing on the shooty units in the opponents force that will really hurt your mobz.
As for mechanised, I can't help much as I am a horde player traditionally. If you are REALLY desparate to play wagon spam at this level, I suggest you speak to the almighty DashOfPepper

At 500 points you have to skimp on everything. That battle wagon has more bling than a rap singers limo. Actually at 500 points a BW is not that great a unit to take.
Rewrite with a bare minimum for 40 models, no single model worth over 50 points, most not worth over 10, and you have a force to be reckoned with.

Well as I said before, this tournament is to tech new players how to play. So this army will give me a chance to play with both infantry, and some vehicles, and heavy weapons. This army, also gives me the excuse that I need to put a Battlewagon in my army. And anyway... if there is a multimelta in the opposing army. I am going to concentrate the fire from the battlewagion on him. And only one of the weapons on the B-wagon has a range the same as the multimelta, and that is the killkannon. so on the march up, the multi-melta weilder has to survive: 4 big shootas, and a kannon laying into him. This is also going to kill alot of whats around him as well. Also, when the multi-melta gets into range, my killkannon will also be in range.

Thats fine, and if you want to use it like this go ahead, but, if you take the killkannon, extra armour, big shooters, boarding plank off the Battle wagon you have enough points for another unit (boom gun looted vehicle, rocket buggies, deff copter, the list goes on) which can go after the MM or most likely multiple meltaguns people will field. also, flanking and deep strike will remove your ability to fire at him before he fires at you so better not to rely on a single model.
Also, I would run Warboss with PK, bosspole and nothing else, use the points to bulk up on troops.

You cant really "go after" a meltagun, and you can only shoot one target a turn. Most people will have more than 1 gun that can destroy the wagon. Also you only have 1 troop so holding objectives is going to be hard, especially when its such a weak unit anyway.
If you really want a battlewagon then fine, but at least try fit in a few more boyz, even if it means dropping the killcannon and making the 11 ard boys into 20 boyz. Spare points could be spent on a few gretchin maybe so you can win the objectives rather than trying to scrape draws all the time

Err... isn't this a training tourny for you and other new players to learn the game? Kinda unsporting really to attempt to make a 'leet list' against guys who might not have any idea of what the heck they are doing. Use the experience to learn and play as many different unit types as possible, be damned how 'good' the list is. Never used a Ork Dred befor? Want to see how good your Boss is on a bike? Ever use Stormboys or Commandos before? Give it a shot.
If you know how to play already, instead of ruining it for newbies, make a fun list to help /them/ learn and enjoy the game. Use a Weirdboy and a big mob of boys or two with a skorcher or some buggies or a Deff Dred. Heck, you should still win if /you/ know what your doing and they don't, even if their list is better on paper. /That/ should be your challenge.

The battle wagon is not really a good shooting vehicle. If it has the Kill Kannon it can only fire that gun and nothing else (see the ordinance rules) If it moves it can only fire one gun, and most of the guns on it do not have great range. All of the guns on it serve different purposes, (ei anti-tank, anti-infantry). You can only fire at one target a turn, meaning you will be wasting a lot of those guns each turn. If you want to ram something with the Deff Roller, you can not fire any guns at all. You count as moving at Max speed for that vehicle. You either waste the Roller or the guns If you want to transport stuff, (especially close combat orks) you will want to be moving 12" or MORE each turn. If you do this, you are not shooting any guns. Also, the best part about the battle wagon is the fact that is has Transport Capacity 20. That is huge. The kill kannon cuts that down to only 12. You should just take a trukk if you want to carry 12 people. The popular setup for a Wagon is thus MUST HAVE: Roller,1 Big Shoota MAYBE TAKE: red, Riggers, Plank, Grabba, plates NOT GREAT: The rest really. You move 12" a turn, keeping them all (usually 3 or more in bigger games) under KFF coverage. When you get close you ram non-skimmer vehicles, the boys get out and then pile into combat. Orks are all about numbers. Most of the time, you do not want that many upgrades on your stuff, but have more stuff instead.

Numbers make orks effective thats for sure, if i were to make one suggestion to this list just to bump it up a level though i would say skimp on upgrades and take a couple of killa kans, they are a pain at any points level and as you build your army to bigger games they will always be useful.
Having a million orks is more competitive but its a bit of a drag trying to build and paint sixty of them and not doing any fun stuff (Like wagons!) so doesn't really help make the hobby much fun when your starting out. I would always say just go with what interests you and if you loose you can just fill in the gaps, like more troops or a different vehicle set up, as you go...
If the wagon does survive to make contact with the enemy im sure that deff rolla will be alot of fun

I can agree with that sentiment, my killa kans almost never end up destroyed in a small points game, and there job is to run out front and shield the boyz. My favorite unit in the Ork codex

If you've got a Warboss, why not take some Meganobz or Nobz (without shenanigans) as your Troops?
Or:
Take off the Killkanon, Deffrolla, Boarding plank, RPJ from your existing Wagon to use that as a Big Shoota/Kannon platform (and 4 Big Shootas is a whole lot of decent shots, plus that Kanon. Can be fired with Frag burst along with one Big Shoota if you need to move a little). You'd have enough points then to take a bare-bones Battlewagon for your Boyz and Boss to ride in. Take off the Kannon and some of the Bosse's Bling, and you'd even have enough points to give it a Deffrolla and Big Shoota.
