well considering im getting back into the game (and having built all the current models in this list through salvaging and other means.....) i thought id make a list and see what i could come up with , not only for fun but possibly compettitively , i plan on using the razorbacks to act as a wall/distraction for the other player while my force creeps up , aswell as some much needed anti-mech

im open to suggestions though (and im considering getting a dreadknight to convert and a stormraven)
HQ's:
Lord kaldor draigo : 275 points
Take paladin squads as troops.

Brotherhood campion :100 points
psybolt ammunition :5 points
Digital weapons :5 points
total :110 points

HQ total :385 points

Troops:

Paladin squad 1
6 x paladins :330 points
psycannon : 25points
4 nemesis force halbeard - free
1 deamon hammer - free
1 nemesis force sword -free
all weapons master crafted : 60 points
total for squad : 415 points

paladin squad 2
6 x paladins: 330 points
apothecaries' narthecium : 75 points
1 nemesis force halbeard (apothecary)
5 x nemesis force swords and stormbolters mastercrafted: 50 points
apothecary's nemesis force halbeard - free
total for squad : 455 points

Grey knight strike squad - 100 points
3 additional grey knights : 60 points
incinerator : 20 points
3 nemesis force swords - free
3 nemesis force halbeards : 15 points
nemesis deamon hammer : 10 points
justicar - both storm bolter and nemesis force sword mastercrafted : 10 points
Dedicated transport for squad :

Razorback : 45 points
Twin linked lascannon - 35 points
Total for squad : 295 points

Heavy support

Landraider : 255 points
psybolt ammunition : 5 points
total 260

Dreadnought - 115 points
total 115 points

that takes the total up to 1925 so far, though i would consider removing the landraider and dreadnaught possibly, ideally i want the army to be able to strike fast and deadly ,however im more of a close combat orientated type of player so i would like to try and get in combat as fast as possible

with the landraider im planning on having it act as the big shiny box that the other players gonna assume is a threat (hopefully) which is why i wasnt considering positioning any troops inside the landraider.....

still hope this is alot more clearer for you all to understand

c&c would be apprechiated

chaoz

Your list is illegal. You cannot take selections from the Dedicated Transport section of the Codex unless you have units to buy them for. Your list right now can only have a single Dedicated Transport because your Strike Squad is the only unit that can buy one.

Seems to me that your on 1970 points, I do not have a codex with me but its confusing on what your taking, could you list the points for each unit because I don't understand what you mean by all mastercrafted... storm bolter and the melee weapon?

If you could make it more clear then I can give you some advice. However, giving paladins too much upgrades is a waste 10 AP2 shots then almost 1/5 of your army will be lost.

Taking normal paladins are quite good value for points because they get 2 wounds (2 termis)

You don't need psybolt ammo for paladins 12 S5 shots is not gonna help you much since your better at CC than shooting so I wont bother with them.

cutting back all the upgrades and the illegal transports you can get some more troops. I suggest purifiers in rhinos with psycannon.

They are probably as good as termis in close combat and better at ranged than termis/paladins.

On list format, try not to list base wargear. Only list what you buy that's extra, or options that you take instead of the base options.

For instance:

HQ1 (Gear) - Points
HQ2 (Gear) - Points
Elite 1 (Gear, Transport if any) - Points
Elite 2 (Gear, Transport if any) - Points
Troops 1 (Gear, Transport if any) - Points
Troops 2 (Gear, Transport if any) - Points
Troops 3 (Gear, Transport if any) - Points
Fast Attack 1 (Gear, Transport if any) - Points
Fast Attack 2 (Gear, Transport if any) - Points
Heavy Support 1 (Gear, Transport if any) - Points
Heavy Support 2 (Gear, Transport if any) - Points
Total - Points

Then provide a basic description for anything that needs clarification and a brief description of the game plan.

IE - "All Strike Squads start in reserve and Deep Strike, and the Purifiers and Librarian take the Land Raider."

Any other pertinent information should be listed in your description along with what your concerns are for the list. If we don't have a good idea what you want to do with your list, we cannot tailor our comments to your specific situation and may tend to take things in a direction you didn't want to go. The more information you list in a clear concise manner, the better we will be able to help you

I'd drop the digital weapons on the brotherhood champ as his sword re-rolls wounds anyway.

Read the posting guide for the list forum for specifics of posting, but the general rule is that unit totals are OK, but point totals for individual pieces of wargear are NOT OK.
